We first chose this refrigerator for the beautiful black stainless steel appearance. But after having it in our home for the last few weeks we have come to enjoy the many features such as the self closing drawers, the multiple options available for ice and water dispensing, the large well organized freezer, plus the lighting in all compartments is fantastic. This Kitchenaide refrigerator is the perfect one for our home. We will be looking to upgrade other appliances in the near future and Kitchenaide will be our first choice. While working on remodeling our kitchen I chose this KitchenAid refrigerator as part of our appliance package. Later, I took my husband to the store with me, he walked straight to it and said "I want this one". Not only does it look like a professional fridge in my kitchen, it holds everything I need, and is so convenient with the 2 drawers that eliminate the need open the entire fridge. The extra slide outs in the freezer really help to keep it organized, and find what I need immediately. If there would be anything I would change, the stainless picks up fingerprints too easily. I have had my refrigerator for a couple of months. It is so easy to reach everything and see it. The ice maker and metered water dispenser work perfectly. The inside is platinum and just beautiful. I like the three freezer drawers within the bottom freezer. It's very quiet and is without a doubt the focal point of my kitchen. I have to admit I bought it mainly based on the beauty of it. Once I saw this five drawer refrigerator nothing else would do. My favorite drawers are the produce and the deli drawer. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
Just had the refrigerator installed, so far the only negative is we had to completely remove one of the shelves to find the space for taller items. For example, (one gallon each of milk & OJ are on the door) large bottles of salad dressings, pickles etc are just to tall for areas with two shelves left in. It's been a few months since we purchased the frig. Love the storage draws. It has more room then I thought although I did remove a shelf on the inside to allot for taller drinks. It easily organizes all my stuff. The freezer is a perfect size for us but I have to add that I have a second freezer in my garage. It is easy to keep clean of fingerprints with a good stainless steel Cleaner. Con, the ice cubes are very small so they melt too quickly and I wish the freezer had one deep draw instead if the two small ones. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
Was a nice fridge after it wasnt. It started with leaking somewhere, we shut off the ice maker, then there were light issues which ended up in a total failure of the fridge....lots of food wasted and only 6 years old. Well if this is Made in US, I guess I go back to made in Korea...
We purchased this refrigerator 3 years ago when we moved into our new home. We had already purchased an entire suite of Kitchenaid appliances including the oven, microwave, cooktop, and dishwasher. The refrigerator looked perfect on paper and in person. Unfortunately for us we got a lemon. We've had the Icemaker go out twice, the freezer go out twice, and finally the motherboard went out last week, all in a 3 year time period. We were obviously hoping for better as we've purchased several kitchenaid products in the past but after our replacing our dishwasher and now this, we're rethinking our choices.
Door were not aligned upon delivery. Installers tries to align doors and could not. Said they would send a tech to Align. Two texh visits and parts and still not aligned and kitchen said so sad, so sorry it is cosmetic and my issue now . It was reported the day it was delivered
Our refrigerator isn't even 5 years old and we have had countless issues with it First it stopped making ice Then it wouldn't keep temperature it was too warm Now it won't keep temperature because it's freezing things So many dairy products have been ruined as a result I've had better luck with other brands. As a matter of fact our “old” fridge is Kenmore and thank goodness it's still working so we use it primarily for things that would be ruined by freezing Not impressed with Kitchenaid I'm sorry to say
