We didn't want to spend alot for a canopy because we are planning to build a Tiki Hut where we put this. I think we are going to wait on the Tiki Hut.....We LOVE this canopy. I can't believe it was only $99. It was easy to assemble, looks great!!!! and has already weathered some really bad storms from the nurricanes.
We purchased this awning 4 years ago. It finally didn't make it through the last hail storm, we've had 2 others. My hubby screwed it down into the concrete, so it stayed where it should. Wish I could find a replacement canopie I think I'm going to have to buy a new one, Ugh!!
So far the product has held up well. No wind to speak of yet so I can't say how it will do in wind. Easy to assemble. Needed very little help. As far as rain, it did well in medium to heavy so far, I stretched the canopy to the bottom holes and it is pretty tite. I would recommend this product.
I bought my first one over 5 years ago. The frame lasted 5yrs. I had to purchase 2 new canopies ($25.00 ea) but I never took the gazeebo down even during storms so I think it did really well for the price!I finally had to buy a complete new one this year but for $100.00 it's a great product
If you are looking for a room within a room- this may be the one for you, but do not use this outdoors. This product apparently has a warranty, however the flimbsy supports could not even hold the weight of the sunshine! I am so sad I did not keep the box or the receipt, as it would have been returned. I am still waiting for replacement parts.
We bought this canopy last year. Anchoring is a must, not because of wind, but because it is flimsy. We didn't consider that a light colored canopy would not provide good shade, most of our guests were squinting. Also, the material is not weather friendly. After being in the sun all last summer, the material weakened. We just put it up yesterday and much like paper, it tore in numerous places.
This product did not make it through one Arizona storm. It looked great when we got it up but after the first storm is was a mess. The canopy ripped and the frame was bent.
Do not buy this product unless you live in a completely dry climate. I have had this canopy for under a month and every time it rained it would gather water in the canopy, I have never seen a canopy do this. Today the canopy structure collasped because the it could not withstand the load of the gathered water. Unless you live in an area that gets NO rain this is not the right product for you.
One stormy afternoon, I was out of town and my husband at work. This tent not only blew down, but the poles twisted and broke, and it had to be thrown away. It wasn't that bad a storm! Too bad I didn't have the box -- I would have returned it immediately. It was a beautiful tent for about 2 months.
I've got to use this canopy one time for a birthday party and a day later a small storm rolled through and knocked it down. It got put back up after we had to bend the poles back in place and 2 days later we got some rain, not even any wind and it got totally destroyed. I'm definitely disappointed in this canopy. Next time I buy one it will be a more heavy duty one.
