We use as exhaust fan and it keeps the air going outside. Can't wait until spring to use as a whole house fan and circulate through the whole house!
We bought this fan for the garage window and are using it on the exhaust setting to take the hot air out as we live in FL. It is quite and works great - you can close the window without taking it out and you do not have to remove the screen.
Easy to install and fit perfectly [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The fan works great. It draws the cool outside air in and thru the house. The fan is very quiet. Installation was very easy. If I would need another fan like this I would not hesitate to buy
Great item the window fan I always wanted. Compatative price . Love it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Does just what i needed it to do
This 16" fan is rated at 1350cfm. MY MISTAKE!! I didn't realize that for my 6 rooms, the air wouldn't move enough to bring in the fresh air I wanted. I'm returning the fan and looking for a cfm rating of 2200 or more.
Bought one of these in the spring of 2015 and installed it in about 30 minutes. Template provided made fan guard screen just touch the window when the window was closed, so perfect fit. I do not use the central air in my apartment, but turned the fan on high and let it run continuously from about April through September. It is placed at the north side of the apartment, and I kept a window open a couple of inches on the south side of the apartment (about 1,200 square foot apartment over garage). Fresh air all summer. Turned it off and closed the window for the winter, opened and started using it again this April 2016. It ran fine initially but when I turned it off in May it would not start back up though the fan blades were turning slowly. About 5,000 hours of continuous use is pretty good for a window exhaust fan in my opinion. Have not looked into cleaning the existing fan or replacing brushes, if either of those are an option to maybe get more use from the current one.
When fan arrived medium speed in both intake and exhaust do not work. Otherwise it works great for venting house.
What I wanted. But only worked on high, and then after 5 minutes of use the motor froze up.
