This stainless steel microwave is very nice looking and doesn't take up too much space. Easy to use, seems to have enough settings and so far is working great. I think the price was Very reasonable for this. I purchased at a known home improvement store, you just need to shop around which I did. It has good amount of room to fit large glass bowl or 9 x 9 glass baking pan. I highly recommend this!
This microwave oven is exactly what we wanted. Our old one was too small to properly pop a bag of popcorn. We press the popcorn button three times and press the 30 second button two times for a perfectly popped bag! The dinner plate and potato buttons are also handy. Nice microwave with a good sized turntable.
Has a sleek look and a basic selection of pre-programmed cook times. Our shelf is only 16" deep so the selection of microwaves was limited. Hard to beat for $99. On the down side it's a bit noisy when operating but it does the job.
I love the size and the features. It looks really nice in my kitchen. Have only used one day hence the rating of only a 4. I have had through the years many GE appliances (larger) in fact still using my dishwasher installed in 1994. So I hope this will last well as they have.
It is a good microwave with plenty of space and nice turntable. Heats as it should. The one issue is the black button pad and numbers that are hard to read without direct light on the pad. I find that popcorn bags only pop 100% of the popcorn if you use popcorn cycle twice stopping it halfway through the second cycle. Baked potato needs the same treatment.
Looks good! Sometimes the touch pads need to be pushed a little harder to make selection.
We have only had this unit installed for 3 days now, but it replaced a very similar model that we had for 10 years then it suddenly died. So, we are hoping for at least as much from this unit. Operation is simple and relatively self explanatory, probably due to having a previous model. Currently, the only complaint I have is that the operations panel is printed in a light grey color instead of bright white, so it is difficult to see in lower light conditions. I would much prefer the bright white printed control buttons like on the old model....
I puchased this microwave to replace a 18year old JES738WH .7 CU. Ft. 700 watt microwave. I've only had it a day but can tell how much more powerful and efficiant it is. The imediate drawback... touch pad is hard to see, no backlight and lettering isn't bright. I have yet to figure out heating a dinner plate as it looks like the only way is to enter ounces and or time. Not intuitive. And there are presets for pizza which we use a lot. But also potato and beverage which we may never use. Some of the other units we looked at are close to same way.
Took it out of the box and right away I saw a Big Dent in the top right back corner!! They packed it already dented because there was No Damage on the packaging Box, so it did not appear to happen during shipping. But this microwave is great for the price. It seems to work fine but I've only had it for 1 day.
I find it kind of dangerous. Occasionally sparks and flames come out of the inner metal square mounted on the inside of the microwave. I feel it presents a serious fire hazard. It goes out once microwave door is quickly opened. I think it is an electrical issue.
