We had our previous GE microwave for 10 years. I was serviceable and performed well. When it finally died, the magnathon tube expired,we decided to stay with the GE line of microwaves. If the new one is as reliable as the old one, we will be happy customers and recommend them to friends and family.
Pretty easy to install. If you're not doing the vented version and you have a recirculating vent then it's just two screws through the top and a back bracket. Works like a charm!

Just installed today and it works perfectly and looks great. The a wonderful addition to our kit.
Newly installed with the 36 inch filler kit and it looks better than I thought it would. The filler kit matches the stainless finish very well and is same height as microwave, which I did not expect based on limited dimension info I could find. This microwave replaces a 19 year old GE Profile unit but has a lot of the same features for a fraction of the price. The wattage is lower but it still heats evenly and quick enough for our family of four purposes.

Look great after install. This was the second GE microwave. First one arrived damaged front corner, though box was undamaged. This one arrived with damage as well to upper top right but was hidden once installed. This box was undamaged as well. So I assumed they where boxed that way at factory. Microwave seems to work well so far.
Got this to replace our 13yr old GE. Waited two weeks to come in & it didn't even make it a month before it died. Literally died in the middle of heating up rice.
