It is the best Canon I ever bought. Sadly, my old one was stolen. Only refurbished and used available now at 3 times the price I paid! Excellent pics with 40X optical zoom.
Wow!!! I love this camera. I'm just an amateur but I can take GREAT photos with this. The zoom is crazy powerful and pictures are ridiculously sharp and clear. Simply amazing.
I was looking for a point and shoot camera that was small enough to put in a coat pocket, yet still take great pictures. I researched for quite some time on the best camera and found this to be the one. 20 megapixels for clear pictures and 40X optical zoom. At this time I found no other camera to have these specifications, with Canon quality and at the reasonable price it is offered at.
Great price, free shipping, quality product, prompt arrival. What else could you ask for? Very pleased with the purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This is a great camera the problem is a lot of people buy cheap memory cards two they don't calibrate the camera to the actual type of memory card I use this camera for birding this is a picture of two doves at 35 ft up on a tree beautiful colors great contrast amazing camera proven and tested it's how you use it and the type of memory card you buy
I took these photos just after getting the camera and I'm having way to much fun exploring the capabilities!! In love <3
I adore this camera. I do advise playing with it first to get used to using the zoom. Pictures and detail are sharp. Picture is from Monarch Butterfly Overwintering grove in So. Calif. with full zoom. .
I bought this to replace my Canon 12x point and shoot. 40X in a point and shoot...OMG OMG OMG ! The jitter control for stills is FANTASTIC! Video...you need a steady hand. ! Anddd, as BONUS.....I've been after Canon to copy the iphones ability to use a Limiter to handle Rock Volume for Video and they DID IT! THANK YOU CANON ! :-) The only 2 cons are...its 2x's as thick as my 12x, and heavier, but I can live with that and am :-) And the 2nd con is minor....when I'm using the Canon iphone App to transfer MP4 video to the iphone.....the App takes forever to convert the video to perhaps MOV??? grrrr ! Why not just leave it as MP4? PS re To those who are technically 'challenged'...the reviews re wifi etc. Call Canon for help. Or, one can just pop the SD out and insert into a Mac or Windows machine to grab your photos/videos! SOP and for Video....thats my Professional recommendation
I have a number of point and shoot cameras and SLR's as well, but wanted a small camera for vacation that would do the majority of what my SLR's would do. This one fits the requirements very well, is easy to use, and Wal Mart had the best price. I would recommend this camera to anyone.
My kids play sports and I want to capture some action shots from the stands, zoom and shutter speed on phone cameras just don't cut it and I'm not interested in a fancy, expensive, complicated camera. This one is just the right size and has managed to grab some great shots.
