I do not know why this cover, or covers like it are not carried in stores. The closable flap with velcro to secure its position is why we chose this particular cover. All we could find in stores were ones that either covered our new baby completely, which just does not seem safe, or had no flap to protect him from the cold as we transfered him from our vehicle. We searched everywhere, then decided to go online and found this gem. It is great, it keeps him warm but allows him to also have a window to see out of, with the option of closing it when briefly outside or just to keep strangers out of his face. We love it and recommend it. The only thing I would change is making it a little bit bigger to fit the newest design of pumpkin seats, those that can hold up to 30 pounds and not just 20 or 22 lbs., because it is a tight fit. Also, it would be nice to have it in more colors, though this color was perfect for us .
I absolutely love my car seat cover. My son was born premature and this product is perfect for keeping him warm and dry from the cold and rain. I highly recommend it!
I haven't had to many problems with this item. I ordered it thinking it was blue and I got a grey one which actually I like better. It is a tighter fit but if it wasn't tight everyone would be complaining that it keeps slipping off and won't stay on or in position. SO I don't mind it. If I had to do it over again I probally would have gotten a warmer bunting bag one that look more like a sleeping bag type.
This is the best infant car seat cover out there! Others are not wind resistant and this keeps the baby warm and cozy. My daughter has this one for her baby & I just bought one for her friend because she said she couldn't find one this nice anywhere.
The winter wind was always blowing away the blankets covering the car seat, exposing my little girl to the cold wind. I got one of these and life became much easier. She remained snug and warm all winter long. It is a bit tight to fit around the car seat and it takes several attempts to get the peephole at the right spot but it worked well overall.
Overall I liked the concept of the baby carrier cover because it would shield my daughter from the cold winter weather. The only negative is that it is kind of small for the car seat I have (a Chicco).
This is a nice cover in that it doesn't go under the baby or have to be threaded through the straps on the carseat, but like a previous reviewer noted, it is a tight fit. I really had to stretch it to make it fit on an average infant seat (22lb limit seat). I had to take it off and reposition it and try again but it did go on. The weather resistant exterior was a nice feature and the inside felt nice and warm.
I'd read the reviews already posted, but decided to give it a try anyhow. I, too, found that it was just too small. I did manage to (barely) get it onto my Graco Snugride carseat, but it was just so tight that it didn't look right and also seemed about ready to pop off at any moment. It just didn't meet my expectations, so I will be returning it. The search continues!
I bought for my 3 month old son after returning a JJ Cole bundle me. It barely fits over his Graco Safe Seat which is a bigger infant car seat. It gaps at the sides wind blows through it. I'll use it till I find another cover. Durability of it not sure since I had to stretch it out to fit his seat.
i bought this product got it home and it will not even go over my car seat its three inches to short, and the car seat i have is smaller then most out there!!
