THIS PHONE IS THE BEST BY STRAIGHT TALK AND THEY ROCK THE PHONE IS HEAVY AND EASY TO GET JAVA APPS LIKE FACEBOOK INSTALLED HEAVY FEEL AND WRKS GREAT AND IS A GOO DEAL FOR ANYONE, COVERAGE IS GOOD HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS PHONE AND STRAIGHT TALK :)
If you want a simple small phone for talk and occasional texting and occasional web use this is it. Only two problems which has come upon other reviews are the difficulty in securing the back of the case after installing the battery and the low volume of the ring tone. I got this phone for $30.00 so I think it was worth it.
This phone is awesome, I just bought this for my daughter and as soon as we got in the door she activated it and it was easy to get it started up and calling, texting, and picture messaging.Despite the fact the battery cover is hard to get on when you first use it, overall it meets all of her expectations but it takes a long time to text but its ok.I got her the 30$ plan for this month but next month I might get her the unlimited plan because she is using this phone like crazy. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!
THIS IS THE FIRST STRAIGHT TALK PHONE IVE OWNED THAT DIDNT FEEL LIKE A STRAIGHT TALK PHONE. INTERNET DOES LOOK GOOD. FIRST STRAIGHT TALK PHONE THAT I KNOW OF THAT HAS JAVA INTALLED, MOST PHONES HAVE BREW. BREW DOSENT HAVE ANY GAMES AVAILABLE. THE PHONE USES GAMELOFT AS GAME DOWNLOAD PROVIDER. PHONE DOES HAVE REAL NICE MP3 PLAYER. BUT YOU HAVE SIZE CONSTRICTION ON SOUND FILE THAT YOU CAN ASSIGN TO ALARMS, MESSAGING AND INCOMING CALLS. GRAPHICS LOOK GREAT ALSO. ALL IN ALL ITS THE BEST PHONE UNDER $100 STRAIGHT TALK HAS.
This phone is awesome.....looks awesome, lots of options. However, the website said it would work in my area, and after getting it, it did not. And it took the Straightalk people several hours and phone calls and days later to tell us that! Very frustrating....so double check what works in your area before you buy. I was very disappointed to not get to keep this phone.
Got the phone in store and opted in for the 2-year service agreement for an additional $1.80 or something like that. My old ST phone started to die just after a year of use, so I figured it would be worth the investment. The new phone was by far the cheapest and best value that they had in store. I'm a fan of the slider phone, so this was a bonus. After spending 5 hours on the phone with customer service because my internet wasn't working, they decided to send me a new sim card. Everything works fine now. I haven't had any service issues with it besides not being able to get on the internet for a couple of days.
I've been using this phone for about a month and a half now, and overall it's a great little phone. Calls are clear, texts are easy to send and receive, navigation through the menu is simple, and the phone does a decent job of letting me check Facebook and my email if I've just got to do so. The camera is not bad either, though I rarely use it. The battery life is also great, which is the main reason I chose this phone over others! Only two things that have bothered me: 1. Before I even started using the phone, I noticed that the back battery cover kept popping off. Upon closer inspection of the phone, the part of the phone that the cover snaps onto, was a bit warped or bent in one spot (looked like it came that way), and so the back cover would not snap on properly or stay on. I didn't want to go through the hassle of having the entire phone replaced, so I just secured it with a bit of super glue and put a hard protective cover/case over the entire phone. Problem solved, and chances are you will not have the same problem. 2. I can't seem to silence the ringer when I am receiving a call. My only two options are either to accept or reject the call, but I sometimes prefer to silence the phone while letting it keep ringing. Not a big deal, as I usually have the phone on silent when I'm out anyway.
It was a pleasant surprise that it had a camcorder but highly disappointed that it did not have a missing call, text, or voice mail alert. It shows up on the screen but it does not give a beep (or sound) every minutes you just have to look at the screen to see if you missed a call, text, or voicemail. Other than that it is simple to use. I took mines back because that is a very important yet simple feature to me.
I like this phone for the most part, but have found that the reception is not great. I live in a garden level apartment and never had trouble with my cheap LG flip phone, but I cannot use my new Samsung in most places in the apartment, not even standing by the window, too bad :( Otherwise, I like the look of the phone and the features it offers.
I bought the Nokia E-71 and had to have it replaced twice and now this one broke also. I had bought the replacement plan for $39.00 when I bought the phone which says I can use it to replace or upgrade my phone. So, I call the number on the card. They transfer me to straight talk, after about half an hour of going through their hoops she says she'll replace it with yet another e-71. I told her I want to use my replacement plan and upgrade to a different phone and she refused. Then she asks if I'm satisfied and I said no but what can I do. She put me on hold again then comes back on and tells me they won't replace my phone at all and that I need to go buy a new phone. So what did I pay $39 dollars for? Is this BS or what?!
