Key Features and Benefits: Creating an entirely design meant inventing entirely technology When Apple envisioned the iPhone, Apple landed on a remarkably thin and light design. This was a gift for my wife, our first smartphone and our first experience porting an old phone number to a new phone. I had the phone shipped to a nearby store and picked it up and had the store sales personnel do the initial set up. Leaving the store, I was told that the phone should be ready to use in anywhere from 2 to 24 hrs. After 24 hrs nothing happened. A quick call to the store and left a voice message that the phone didn't activate within this 24 hr. period. In the meatime I called an 800 number I found in the Straight Talk literature and after a few minutes, they had the phone up and running. I am also happy to say the salesperson I had worked with the previous day setting up the phone and for whom I had left the voice message with did also call me back shortly thereafter responding to my message on the department's voice mail. Really very happy with the phone and Straight Talk. Very good signal strenght and data transfer speeds have been excellent. We couldn't be happier.
I so excited to finally have a I-phone , I have always wanted one but was not willing to go back to a contract. Thank you apple, Straight talk and Walmart for making it possible. I received it a day earlier than expected, I have used straight talk services before and have never been disappointed. Yes you pass full price for the phone, but with a contract you end up paying for the phone plus some over time. If you want an iPhone this is an awesome deal.
The iPhone is the same one you would get on any of the major carriers. Can't complain about the quality. Setup was over the phone with a straight talk rep and took roughly 15 mins and the phone was activated within the hour (although they say it could take up to a few days) I have the CDMA version and it runs off Verizon towers and I have had service pretty much everywhere I have gone over the past few weeks. Only potential downside is that you only have 3G, not 4g due to Verizon's agreement with straight talk. That's not a deal breaker in my book. Under 50 dollars a months after taxes and fees for unlimited talk text and 2-3 GB of data with good service all over with clear call quality. Totally worth it.
I absolutely love this phone and would reccommend it to anyone who wants the iphone 5!! Or iphone period. Meets all my expectations! I have not had a dropped call except for when i was trying to set it up but....after that i have had good service with it. Not to mention the internet on the phone is super super fast!
I am pretty careful with my money and have never wanted to spend a lot for a cell phone or a service plan. I am also not very technical when it comes to setting up equipment. This is my first smart phone. It is an excellent value and easy to use. It is even better than I expected and exceeds my expectations in every respect.
I bought the new iPhone 5 because I had extra money I had to spend ASAP and I wanted a new phone. If you are looking for value, I suspect that the refurbished iPhone 5 is a better deal. Activation with StraightTalk took about 5 days because of trouble transferring my old cellphone number from Virgin Mobile and I had to do it over the phone...the website alone wouldn't work. I installed the new iOS 7 operating system without problems using iTunes on my PC. The iPhone works great and is much better than my 3 year old Android 2.2 phone that would not work with most apps other than email.
I have always had a Samsung and I absolutely LOVE my IPhone! I was really apprehensive about paying such a substantial amount for a cell phone, but take my word.... it is totally worth it. The phone is OUTSTANDING! Not to mention you are saving SO much in the long run with straight talk. The unlimited plan is the way to go, and is such an affordable price. My only complaint is that I wish I got better service. Most places I only get three bars and at times it can be frustrating, but other than that love the phone and love straight talk too!
Everything you would expect from an iphone is here. If there is such a thing as being too thin, iPhone is it. It felt awkward compared to earlier models as the edge digs into your hands, but you'll get used to it quickly. The Straight Talk iPhone her in New York City runs on 3G, which is plenty fast for a place with tons of towers. Highly recommended!
The iphone 5 is wonderful but I am greatly disappointed in the lack of coverage area. I have no service at home and very scattered service on my route to work. Previous to the purchase I put in my zipcode and a few surrounding towns and all of them were able to receive service. I don't know all the features and opportunities of the iphone 5 since I am limited on service area.
It would have been a great product had we been told at the time of purchase online that we would not be able to activate the phone in our location. My daughter was VERY upset and disappointed. She had been saving for this phone for a long time. When we picked it up at the store, we were told we could not use it.
