I was a little Leary about going with straight talk after being with verizon for years. You have to have wifi to activate the phone. After the initial set up I've been completely happy. The customer service isn't good but once you get through it you will be happy. I have the same coverage I did with verizon. But much cheaper. The phone is a little pricey but after paying $350-$400 per month with verizon this is a Great choice! I am completely satified with this phone, coverage and price
This is a great phone and met all my expectations. I was hoping this phone works on verizon towers. When I checked the zip code search for if the phone would work in my area where i work. It said it wouldn't. Which my phone that I just replaced was on verizon towers and worked fine. After calling and confirming CDMA-V is verizon. Which customer service was great and spoke english like to be expected. It works even more places than my old phone did. Works great and Highly recommend can beat it for the price. Also I did express shipping and arrived in about 26hr from ordering. Awesome!
Having dealt with Blackberry's and Androids, I must say that my iPhone 4S proves to be a much better smartphone than any of my previous experiences. The Blackberry apps would not work 80% of the time and had to be removed and re-installed and the phone was just not very user friendly. The Androids, while much closer to working like the Apple, still lack the quality and smoothness of the apps on the iPhone. The iPhone 4S has a lot more accessories available for it and with the introduction of the new iPhone 5's, the price of 4 and 4S accessories have dropped drastically.
After two Androids that basically failed after a year, I thought I'd finally jump on the Apple bandwagon. It's so much faster than any phone I've had before. I've had Straight Talk for a while now and have used Verizon towers on my Androids and was never able to send pictures via text until now (a picture would take an hour if it ever sent). My apps don't freeze or snag, my calls don't drop and navigation doesn't stop randomly. Visual Voicemail is handy, and yes it's available on Straight Talk despite what others have said. It's also nice being able to see when other people with iPhones are texting you before you dump more texts into the conversation. The only drawback is the inability of adding a third party keyboard like Swiftkey or Swype- but with iOS 8 coming in a few months, these will be available. For the price of the phone and plan per month, this is the best out there.
This 4s replaced another smartphone that was not nearly as high quality. I still have an iPhone 3GS and it is easy to see the many improvements. Battery life being a huge improvement. This phone is both fast and easy to use. There are many more great apps to choose from. If you haven't decided yet choose the 4s. It will not disappoint.
I love this iphone 4s. I had no problems with it and so glad I bought it. I originally had a smart phone with a 2 year subscription. No more that. It cost on the front end with the phone but the saving over time will prove its worth. Am glad I bought it.
Love the phone. Love what it can do. I only wish there was a paper manual to have in hand to know how to operate all the features. i have had trouble learning how to transfer ringtones from itunes to my phone. It seems like my version of itunes is slightly different then the tutorials on how to use it I have found on the web.
Had to return this phone. Apparently iPhones use a different cell phone provider than their Android phones. We had no problems where I live using android but stepping up to Apple iPhones are a different problem. They use Verizon cell towers and unfortunately for us we live in an area that does not have any close enough. Unless you want to pay extra from constant roaming. I know there are simm cards you can buy or replace but this was supposed to work when I checked it on line. StraightTalk was never a problem before but beware and check things out asap! I would recommend this phone and service to a friend providing they get good coverage.
I bought the phone off of online and picked it up at walmart the next day. I brought the phone home and started playing around with it. I then called the straight talk people to get my phone turned on. I purchased the unlimited plan and got it to my old straight talk phone. They said I had to do this before we could switch my number to the other phone. No issues yet. I give them the code on my phone and they say it is stolen and get extremly rude with me on the phone. Saying that the phone is stolen and all this other crazy stuff. I read the reciept number and all of this other information to prove that I bought it. So they then said they are going to contact me between 24 hours and 72 hours. Mention I now have unlimited internet and text messages on my phone that doesnt recieve text messages anymore or that has a proper internet browsing capability. It is now into the 100 hour range and no contact. I contacted them and was put on hold several times and said that they will contact me when I am able to switch the phone. Not to happy with the straight talk people but the phone itself is pretty nice.
Bought this for my daughter who had been waiting so anxiously. Tried to activate. NOTHING. Found out there is no service for straight talk in our area unless you have a contract. Found nothing Prepaid in our area. Had to settle for Samsung GS3. Daughter was NOT happy!!!
