My first smart phone. Never could justify $400-500. I've had this phone for about a week. Really good price. Activated it on line. It took overnight to get my old number ported over. It's full of features. Works great. Big crisp display. I'm not a heavy talker, use it mostly for texts, emails. Good camera but doesn't have a flash. And the $45 Straight Talk plan fits my needs... and budget!!
beautiful screen colors, runs apps fast I have had many many phones and this one is the best!!!! camera works great nice zoom front and back camera for the money you cannot beat it.. and its a Straight Talk phone so reception is great as it runs off verizon... $99 for the phone and $45 a month no contract for unlimited how can you beat it???????/
My wife and I both love these phones. Only down side we see so far is week 3g data connection in our home and at her work. The phone is fast and storage is good. I noticed I put my phone comment under the damage protection plan I bought with the phones. oops Want to say it is very worth the extra money. I had to use the protection coverage on a phone once in past and was refunded my money and able to buy new phone in same day I called in for service. AAA++++ on service protection plan
I bought this phone for my boyfriend's birthday as a replacement for his Samsung Centura, which was a very dysfunctional phone from the day he bought it. There were numerous problems with it - had even been replaced once and the same problems kept occurring. He seems to be well-satisfied so far with the new one. He's not had it lock up on him at all, runs numerous apps and really gives it a workout. While he's still learning some of the new/different features, hopefully it'll last him a good long while. Although the camera could be a bit better and lacks a flash, I think it is a very good value for the money.
This is my first Smartphone and I love it! It's very easy to use, and does everything except wash dishes! The screen is large, though I did download a keyboard with bigger letters to facilitate typing. My son has the identical phone and also loves it. Monthly service for the two Smartphones costs the same, per month, as the two dumb phones. The new phones use the towers of the company with the nation's best coverage and gives us unlimited text, internet and long distance. Previously we only had long distance. Why would anyone choose a different plan?
I love samsung cell phones and this one is no exception. it is easy to use and i love the extra features on the camera.... u can take grayscale, sepia, and negative pics with a touch of a button... the camera also has different modes and takes really clear pics... In my area this cell works well for me because it works with verizon towers... I would definitely recommend this phone to a friend or family member...
last phone Galaxy Proclaim. It did well until about 5 months after purchase, then began to bleep and chirp during voice calls. So I caution anyone reading this review...I have no idea how this new phone will hold out over the long run, but after a month with the Ace Style, I am well pleased. If you read online reviews that were put out in April before the phone hit the shelves, the info is wrong. This ST phone from Walmart has a gig of RAM and Android 4.3, 8 gig on board memory. The 4 inch screen exceeds the quality of my eyes and my past phones. Camera takes really good pics, 4 x zoom in cam and video. NO flash, but the autofocus and auto settings adjusts well. I can now use barcode readers, or take pictures of my finger prints on macro mode (just as an example). Call sound good, speaker good, appearance good...far better than my Proclaim in all aspects. However, this phone just hit the market and accessories are not really out there yet. Walmart does have an overpriced 15 dollar slip on case specifically for it now though. If you order from Amazon or others, you can try Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 (s7275) cases. Close enough on the overall size, but some of the access holes do not match. You will have to get a razor and create a microphone hole (ez) and cut out the top for the headphone jack if you use one. Camera hole lines up, and the rear speaker lines up enough, but also is easily trimmed. The side volume and power buttons line up well enough or you can trim a tad there too. 5 bucks and some trimming or 15 and ready to wear at Wally. Screen protectors for the Ace 3 fit dead on though. Good phone, not too big for a mans pocket, yet a slightly larger screen for the eyes. I got this for 150 with a 50 dollar gift card - so 100 bucks. That deal was gone quickly. So you will likely pay 150. Still less than the PIB Proclaim when I bought it. I would buy again at 150. I also bought the Walmart care plan again. It paid off on the last phone. Two years, no deduct., no fees, no argument, they paid me for my old phone and the taxes as well as the return shipping - quick too. You can buy a new phone and then use the reimbursement that comes on a Walmart gift card for your normal stuff later and speed up the process to get a new phone in hand. It covers every type of damage other than losing it - for two years! Keep that phone receipt though - paper copy and save it to your computer or the cloud. 1.42 per month for coverage is a good deal with NO deduct when you have a claim.
This is my first smart phone. Although I have had nothing comparable in the past, I am really impressed with this phone for the price. The reception and sound quality, the camera, and the ease that I was able to navigate the phone, are some of my favorite features. The size is perfect as well. It's big enough that I am able to type easily, yet not too bulky. I am definitely a Galaxy fan!
Friend of mine had this and said she liked it pretty well. I got one and I like it so far still learning different features. I like the speech to text to and the price. even on power saving mode the battery life okay but way I use mine texting and phone the battery life drains and I have plug it up daily. when its stand by it goes down to but not bad. I still would have got it anyway. I do like having to crop my pics before I send them other then that I like it. sounds great on a call the face chat works well. the front and back camera work great. Hard to find a case amazon didn't have any yet found a case on ebay several of them.
I received my phone started the set up got to the point of transferring the contact log wasn't sure how to do that called Straight Talk direct that was a waist of time. They told me I had to Enter the information one at a time. Went to u tube found what I was looking for transferred my contact information to SD card but when it came time to transfer info to the new phone there was no import/export tab on the new phone . I contacted Straight Talk again after rebooting the phone several times and going back and forth they recommend that I contact the returns department. After several times rebooting the phone with that person they told me to return the phone for a replacement. I was informed that it would take 10 to 14 days to replace the phone and a lot of time on the phone with them.
