It has a smart stop technology that prevents you from over sharpening your pencil. It is designed for heavy use. It comes with a extra large receptacle to collect the pencil shavings. There is a 10 year warranty on it. It can sharpen 6 different sizes of pencils. Overall this is a really great pencil sharpener that I would definitely highly recommend!!!

Also, my little one is learning to write so I wanted something for her to easily sharpen her pencils quickly. I like that there are multiple pencil size options to sharpen any pencil, especially the larger preschool pencils. I also like that the pencil shavings are neatly kept in the container to dispose of easily. I would recommend.
Being a math teacher, we use a lot of pencils! I have only had this sharpener for a few days but, it is so much better than the one I had before. The pencils get a nice, sharp point and the sharpener does not eat the lead out of the pencil like many others have done in the past. My students love the light that lets them know the pencil is sharp and I love how quickly it sharpens........great for my peace of mind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put the X-Acto Teacher Pro in my class so all my students can sharpening their pencil whenever they need. It has a big container so I just need to emptied any other time. The motor not too loud so it doesnt bothering the class room. Every pencil we have put through it has been sharpened quickly and consistently, with nearly zero splintering or broken lead. The bottom it heavy enough so its not easily tip over. I recommend this for other teacher in the school.
After so many other electric pencil sharpeners going up or breaking I bought this one. This is one great sharpener! First it has a unique design where as when the pencil is done sharpening, the blades remove themselves from the pencil. No more guess work. Secondly it has a pencil guide with various size holes. No more breaking the point off a newly sharpened pencil. Although it's labelled "Teacher Pro" we use it at home. Another words it's heavy duty. You want a smooth trouble-free operational pencil sharpener then this is it.

This sharpener is awesome and fast. I love the safety of this sharpener and I don't have to constantly empty out the bottom compartment everytime we use it. This teacher loves the Xacto electric sharpener! The pencil sharpener sharpens pencils well. It also sharpens quickly and with ease. My only negative is sometimes the tray comes loose and stops the sharpening. However, it's a quick fix since I can hold it in place.
I really wanted to like this item, reviews were good and it looked like what I needed. I ordered them for our school, I bought a total of 9 or 10, I am not in the process of returning a total of 7. Two of them did not work right out of the box. They would not start. The others would work a a little while and then quit.
