My boyfriend asked me to pick out a promise ring for myself for our 2 year anniversary, and this is the one that I chose. I absolutely love my ring and I am glad I chose this over the several others I had looked at. The finish of the metal did peal about three months into everyday wear, but it never affected the look or my opinion of the ring. It still looks very beautiful and the engraving was not at all affected. I had no issues of loose birthstones or missing diamonds in the center. I have had nothing but good luck with this ring so do not let any review discourage you from buying it because there are several people with very good experiences! This ring stuns people when I show them and tell them where I got it. It was first a promise ring and an anniversary present, and it has taken the place as my engagement ring because I just can't bear to not wear it! (and for monetary issues). When I do stop wearing it, I will probably make it into a pendant, because it is so very special to me and my fiance!
I have a very unusual story to go along with this ring. I am a girl and this ring was not for me. I bought this ring for one of my guy friends to give to his girlfriend (who is also my friend). They sometimes have an up and down relationship and I thought that if I ordered this ring for them, gave it to my guy friend(Mark)* to give to his girlfriend (Macy)* it would fix things. It did (: Mark didn't know that I was ordering this at all, he was gone for the weekend on a trip and I had just hung out with Macy the night before I ordered this. Macy and I were up until 2:30 in the morning crying because she was telling me about an abuse family situation a long time ago. She linked her family situation to the trust and assumption issues she has with Mark. At the same time Mark wanted something to prove his love to her (both of them come to me with their problems and I help resolve them), so that night Macy was over I told her about promise rings and she thought that would be perfect for her and Mark. I don't regret buying this product at all and it turned out to be more than I even expected, it was perfect and I'm glad that I ordered this product, if given a chance to change it I wouldn't have done anything differently. Me and my boyfriend have been together for a year and its been kinda rough. We live in different states (4 hours drive). For my birthday he wanted to get me this ring to show we really can make this work and that he truly loves me no matter what. Its very pretty and the lettering is easily readable (they even spelled the names right). I don't regret picking this right at all!
I had this ring for over a year. My boyfriend go it for me in January 09. It was very pretty and took quite a beating. I never took it off, but last week, one of the birthstones was knocked out. I am going to take it in to see if they will fix it. Doubt it, but I plan on purchasing another if they can't. Great ring.
I love this ring. I only have one qualm and it was the color difference between the amethyst and emerald. The Emerald is a beautiful,deep & dark stone and the amethyst was a little washed or clear in color. I wear this ring daily & it sparkles. My favorite part is our names on it & the inscription.
I bought this ring online for my GF as a Promise Ring. The engraving on the outside is very well done and easy to read, and the "pre-set" engraving on the inside was very well made also with large font and stands out. The two stones are a nice touch and are shaped like hearts which is cute lol. But I am disappointed with that space between the two stones. I thought they would put diamond-looking stones in that area but its very plain... maybe they gave me a defective one or the stones fell out or something. I will be taking this ring to the walmart store and see if they have one just like it I can compare it with.
My boyfriend bought this ring for me. I've only had the ring for 5 days now. I can't believe how many scratches and nicks it gets. I can't do every day things without getting scratches or scuffs. I want to wear it all the time. This causes a problem. I wouldn't suggest this ring because it doesn't withstand daily routines.
My boyfriend gave me this ring as a Christmas present, and I loved it. But after a few months, it seemed like the finish from the ring was wearing off. And blackish starting appearing on the band of the ring. So, we sent it back to get it fixed because like I said, I loved this ring. And now we've had it for like three months and the finish is wearing off again! I finally give up, and took it to a jeweler and she told me how the finish WAS coming off and buffing it or trying to polish it won't help much. So now I'm looking for another. VERY disappointed, it's a beautiful ring but does not wear well!
