not everyone uses a protective case for their iphone. I don't. It would be nice if they had a holder that would hold an iphone that was in a protective case, but really not a big deal. I love how flexible and convenient this holder is. Easy to install and I could put it where I wanted it to go.
The product doesn't hold an iPhone if you use a cover (and who doesn't???).
