This was just the smoothest shave ever! It lathers up very nicely and the scent is so pleasing! I love the fact that the canister is not made from the traditional materials so it does not rust if you leave it in your shower. The indicator on the side is a great feature. I haven't fully tested it since I haven't used enough to make the level go down significantly. The gel is great and leaves a comfortably smooth freshly shaved skin. The most impressive thing about the ProGlide 2-in-1 Shave Gel is the design of the dispenser. I hated how the old dispensers will keep on foaming after they are done dispensing, this one does not and that helps keep my shave bathroom clean. The shave gel gives a really refreshing feeling. It does lathers very smoothly and prevents any irritation or redness. After the shave I wash off my face with warm water and it really leaves my face cool and refreshed. I really recommend this gel to everyone. I have been using the new Gillette Active Sport Shave Gel for a couple weeks. So far I have had good results. My face feels nice and smooth after my shave and it has a nice fragrance. I like the plastic bottle because it won't rust on the bottom and stain anything it sits on. I also like the rotating head that keeps the spout clean. However, the gel does come out a bit weak and slow, even when the bottle is new. I typically use Edge Shave Gel when I shave. I like the new Gillette product better but, to be honest, there's not a huge difference. Given the choice, I would go with Gillette since I like their products but if there was a significant price difference I would stick with Edge. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I tried the Gillette fusion proglide shaver and active sport gel kit. I am not a regular razor shaver, as I have been using an electric for several years. With that out of the way, I really was surprised on the results. the shave gel has a very natural scent, not overpowering, in my opinion the scent was just right! The gel starts out like whip cream, but once "worked" onto my face was very smoothing, cool, and lite. Also once I was done with shaving my face, neck, etc.. any left over gel was easily washed off with just some water. Which left my face with a nice cool, smooth, non-burning feeling. like I said previously I am not a regular razor-using shaver, but when I do I will know what I should use for gel. I usually use a product that is thicker and tends to clog my razor but results in a close shave. It was one of the only shaving products I could find that wouldn't damage my skin and still gave me a close shave. I was a bit apprhensive to use this due to the lack of thickness. But after using it a few times, it's is one of the closest and most comfortable shaves I have ever received. And the locking lid is awesome. It's going to make it easy to travel. The design of this dispenser can has a design fault, causing gel foam to discharge from underneath the plastic sliding lock. No matter what I try I cannot seem to stop this problem occurring.
Followed picture directions for usage and could not dispense gel from container from first operation ! Cheap and nasty packaging to save production costs ?
