I bought this for my husband, who started boxing six months ago. He uses it train at home. He raves about it every time he works out with it--says it really streamlines his workout and keeps him on track. It also has a really cool bell-ring signal--just like you're in the ring. Even if you don't box, it's a great workout tool.
I was looking for a stop watch to time rounds at home and I was so excited to see this. I looked at the prices of the real round timers like at my gym, but it was too big and expensive for home use anyway. This thing is awesome, only thing is it doesn't have a 30 second warning which would have been cool.
I have wanted a nice 2 - 3 minute timer for my workouts. This is it. Easy to use - has a "bell" sound like at a boxing ring. There is no volume control - but that is not important to me.
I set it on the table and it's loud enough so that you can hear the timer go off even with loud music on. It also has a strap so you can wear the timer. Lots of options and very functional.
Great item. Can use it when working out anywere. Acts as a personal trainer. I go to boxing class once per week and they use a timer as big as shoe box. This is compact and easy to hear when time expires. Can wear it on arm or sit it by where you are exercising. A little more pricy than what I thought it should be, but will get my use out of it.
I am currently working out by hitting a heavy bag to get my body back into shape. However it proves difficult when you can't keep the timing that you would like to get the best work out possible, or be able to know how long you can rest before you're doing yourself harm. This product is a great investment because not only does it keep either 2 or 3 minute rounds up to 12 rounds total, but it also has rest time in 30 second and 60 second intervals. It definately serves it's purpose, and it makes a loud enough noise to let you know when your time is up even if you have music up loud. I enjoy it.
If you are a personal trainer(train in your garage or something) this is perfect. You dont have to spend 100 dollars on a big bell timer it works great. You wont be dissatisfied.
Unless you want to spend a lot of money this is the best option. While sparring, you can still hear the bell ring pretty easily. When by myself it clips on my waist better than on the strap around my arm.
These small timers are impossible to hear when working out on the bags. I do not recommend using one. I bought one but I'll have to find a better one with a higher volume.
This is the worest timer I have ever bought! it freezes ever couple seconds and I have to start all over again. i would never recomend this product! I used it a couple of times, but couldnt stand it!But I would say GYM BOSS interval timer all the way! it's under $25 including shipping! water and shock resistant! and has a stop watch, you can change the intervals and the rest, anywhere from 2 seconds, to 100 minutes! and you can change the alarm duration. you can have it either beep or viberate. and it comes in different colors!
