Very nice for the price. Not to hard to put together. Get your socket set out with the small extender and a philips screw driver. This will make it easier to tighten the nuts down,(when you get to the end of assembly you need to make sure everything is good and tight.) Worked great! Burned wood and cardboard with no problems. Most sparks and fly ash were well contained. The ash drawer removes easy also. Bottom Line -We are happy with this purchase -Very nice for the price -Easy to assemble -Quick shipping -Description is accurate -Would recommend this product
took it to the ocean for a firepit party..it was great. tested to the limit! everyone thought it was great.easy to clean, assemble, and to carry.great purchase.
I like this very much. It was pretty easy to put together, get the right size open wrench and a phillips screwdriver before you start. The nut is smaller than 1/2 but i can't remember which it was, just that it was not the 1/2. If I had it to do over again I would have put the nuts on the outside, it would have made it easier to turn them. It was not possible to turn the bolt with the screwdriver while holding the nut, it just stopped before actually being tight. I had to hold the bolt with the screwdriver while turning the nut with the wrench. I used this sequence to put the panels on, back first, then left, right and lastly front panel, so i could finish through the open door. Also I will be getting a firegrate to put into this as the grate that is included is a cooking grate like you would find on a barbecue grill. The chimney top pops in, so if you want to do smores later in the night, I recommend you take it out before you start your fire. The top is flat enough where you could lay something with the graham cracker and chocolate on it and it would get melty while you toast your marshmallow. Yum! I will also be raising this up onto a layer of bricks for safety, as it is on a wooden deck. I did purchase a cover for this for when it rains, to extend its life. Our previous one lasted 2 years with no cover before rusting out. We'll use it now out on the ground however, it is still good for that. Hope my info helps you!
Overall it was very easy to assemble and follow the directions that were included. Was surprised that it was so well built and not a send back disappointment. The only thing I would have liked to have seen added would have been a cover for the PIT when not in use and in bad weather.
I love the ease in clean out with the ash drawer. looks great in the yard and keeps sparks from flying all around. now if the weather would just cooperate (stop the rain) i would be able to enjoy it much more.
Great fire pit. Perfect for my small patio could easily function on a larger one. Easy to put together.
The unit was easy to assemble and works well. The reason for not giving more stars is that when I took it out of the box, the door handle had already fallen off.
I would expect a 149.00 fireplace to have been better quality. I knew it was lower end but the sides and especially the door are very flimsy. The frame and top are very beefy. time will tell.
The paint has already peeled off and I have only had 2 fires in it!
We used this product one time and the top rusted. The door was not made properly and keeps falling out. Quality very poor for the cost.
