we had a counter top cooler that died last year. hadn't been able to find an affordable replacement until now. It's nice to have hot water on demand again.
This is the third unit of this type that I have used over the years, (others were different brands) . I have had this one for about two weeks & it is working fine so far. It keeps water hot enough for a quick cup of coffee in the morning (I don't use it for cold water). The only problem that I have had is how to keep from spilling the water when I turn bottle up side down to put it on unit. I have been putting PRESS'N SEAL over bottle opening on the other units (different brands) that I had. They had a piece that would puncture the "PRESS'N SEAL" allowing the water to come out with out spilling the water but this unit doesn't have anything to puncture the seal so it always spills some water when putting on a new bottle. If someone knows a way to install new bottle without spilling part of it I wish they would comment on this to let me know. Other that that I am happy with the unit.
This cooler is very inexpensive. when i received this product the hot water did not work. i removed the back panel and discovered the power wire to the hot water switch slid off. also the water gets pretty cool but not cold enough to numb your tonsils
The water is cold and/or hot. No issues with that. Easy to plug in, easy to attach jug. However, the water trickles out and it takes a LONG time to fill a cup. I would like it better if the water flow was faster. It is somewhat loud--similar to a desktop fan, but not overly loud. More like background noise.
This water dispenser would be great if you don't mind tying up counter space and, possibly blocking a cabinet. Pros: keeps the water chilled just right. (I haven't used the hot water dispenser so can't comment on that.) Cons: kind of messy when changing bottles; reservoir not very large. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Avanti Hot/Cold water Dispenser looks good. However there are a few flaws to be aware of : first of all the water jug is NOT included (though displayed on the ad photo), second the flow of the cold water dispenser is slow, very slow, Third, the cup dispenser door is of poor design and gets in the way of getting cups. All in all I wouldn't recommend it.
The water trickles out so slow it takes a minute to fill a cup. Called support and they claim to have never heard of that problem before and advised to exchange. I exchanged twice and both replacements worked in the exact same manner. I believe due to a poor design the water does not flow properly from the cold water spigot. I do like the energy saving feature and design however even on regular mode you can only get 2 cups of cold water at a time in a 15-20 minutes interval. Not ideal for multiple user environments.
Despite the reviews, I bought it anyway. I had to see for myself. I bought, I saw, I returned. The reviews were correct, I experienced the same flaws they described. Save your time and your money and purchase a better qualtiy machine. Just another opinion.
I bought this online and had it shipped to the store. I went and picked it up, and returned it the same day. After taking it out of the box and reading instructions, I began rinsing it with water, just as the isntructions said. Next I had water everywhere. New out of the box and the lines on the inside were not connected. Walmart took it back and refunded my money.
Having problems with hot and cold temperature. Button in back was not working so the hot water did not go on. Cold was not that cold. Awful taste. If it was working, I would have followed the directions for using baking soda and water to get rid of taste. I returned it and will try another one. When I went back to order another one, they were out of stock. Will send in another review after I purchase the second one, could be just a bad one. I previously had two other water coolers. They don't last that long. Either they leak, or the temperature is not good enough. I thought I would try the table model because it takes up less room and I really don't need the storage space on the bottom which I had on the others. Also, they probably used more energy.
