We received this product for free and were super excited to try it. It did not disappoint. It was easy to set up and our 9yo was able to use it with very little adult guidance. It sews like a real machine and came with patterns we can replicate. She was so proud of this sunglass holder she made.
I love that the needle has been pre-threaded.
My 10 year old was and is so excited to use this to create projects. It comes with colorful fabric with printed lines on it to cut out the various projects. The machine takes 4 AA batteries, a seam guide, and a lever to pull the thread out to make it easier to cut. No bobbin or thread to deal with as it is an all in one system which make this easier to use than my sewing machine. The needle is secure and covered enough to make it safe for her hands. You can not control the stitch speed but so far it seems to go at a good pace for her and there is a "pause" switch to make it stop. There is also a sensor which shuts off when you get to the end of the fabric. I like this mini sewing machine and wish I had one when I was little. I havent bought replacement thread or additional projects kits which may get expensive, but any light weight fabric can be used to sew your own creations.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had the opportunity to try this product for free in exchange for my honest review. My 11 year old son was the tester for this one. He really enjoyed it. He's been interested in sewing for a while. The instructions were a little confusing to begin. They could have been clearer. But once he figured out how to work it, it went smoothly. He liked the sensor start and stop. He enjoyed a couple of the projects. The patterns are fairly easy. If we can find the thread cartridges and more patterns in store, he would definitely continue using it. My only complaint it that it is marketed specifically to girls. It would be great if the packaging could encourage boys to enjoy it. Mine did.
Purchased previously for a granddaughter. she liked it so much, now purchasing for a 2nd granddaughter,
Irregular stitching. Each to break not sturdy again. Bought it for my -0 yr CC ok granddaughter and she was upset that it didn't work out
it never worked. I put new batteries in it, but it never would turn on. It is a horrible product. I regret even seeing this item and purchasing it for my sweet grandaughter, she was so sad and disappointed. Thanks so much for breaking my grandaughters heart
My daughter got this for her birthday and was only 1 hour before it stopped working. The needle seized up and wouldn't go up or down to sew.
