My son wanted this toy because it had slime. At first I thought he would quickly get bored since it was a small toy, but I was very wrong. He played with this for 3 days straight. We had fun sliming the ghost, sliming other toys, and watching it glow in the dark. We will be purchasing another one to play with as well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We had a lot of fun playing with the Ghostbusters Mini Rowan Figure and Slime toy. Sliming the mini figure was super easy and fun to watch the slime slip into the container with the figure. But playing with it would not be complete if we didn't also put our fingers down in the slime and try it out. It was good clean fun, as an added bonus the mini Fowan Figure glows in the dark, so we had fun playing hid and seek with him. Slime cleaned up easily with soap and water. My 4 year old son was very excited to play with this toy when it came in the mail. He loved "sliming" Rowan and taking it to dark rooms to see it glow in the dark. Rowan is the perfect size to fit in his hand, and even when my son was done playing with the slime, he still carried around the ghost figure and played with it. The only negative is that the slime is messy, and my son kept wanting to open the container and take Rowan out after each sliming. This required washing the ghost figure each time before he could play with just the ghost part. We only have about half of the amount of slime left, since we lose some each time we wash the ghost for playing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My son has been all about Ghostbusters since the new movie came out, so we decided to give this Mini Rowan Figure and Slime a try, because what almost 5 year old boy doesn't love slime? The product is packaged well, and I love the look of the ghost. The fact that the ghost glows in the dark is a bonus and made for some fun moments with the lights out. When we opened the actual slime, we noticed that it had a slight odor to it that reminded me of cleaning products. The slime is a little thinner and stickier than I expected it to be, so that made it harder to get off my son's hands. If you're ready to play, make sure you have some paper towels close by or else you will have slime trails on anything your kid touches before getting to the sink. Cleanup was pretty easy though and the slime comes with a solid cap so it self stores in its own play container. Overall worthwhile for a few minutes of imaginative play! This was a hit right outta the package, of course its slime! What's not to like? From a kids perspective it was endless entertainment watching the slime go back and forth over the ghost. The downside, if you dont switch over to the screw top to close it, and take it with you in your purse, slime is not fun to clean out of a purse and its contents. My bad. Liked the container to store ooze in so it won't dry out. The figure did glow and after about 30 minutes and the ooze all over hands and the difficulty of getting it off the kids lost interest mostly in part due they had to concentrate on washing the ooze off of their hands. My son was somewhat dissapointed with this toy. While the concept of the toy seems great it isn't well made. The top doesn't secure to the toy so I didn't trust my son to turn or shake the toy to slime Rowan I was afraid it would make a mess.The slime slowly slides through the toy and covers Rowan but that is the extent of the toy. My son was bored with it quickly and wished he'd gotten a different toy. He wanted to just play with the slime which I allowed him to do and I highly recommend that if you do this to do it outside (luckily we did) because the slime was very sticky and stretchy making it hard to clean up. After seeing the original ghostbuster movie my son was so excited to receive this toy. He couldn't wait to slime his mini ghost figure, but once he did it as the instructions indicated, the novelty wore off quickly. He then only wanted to play with the slime itself. He loved touching the slime, but it sticks to everything and is a bit messy. I think the toy is fun but can quickly become a little boring. Size of product is good for young children but function of product not great. Kids loved the little ghost and liked the toy once we took it outside (bc it's a mess) and played with slime and goes. The containers that ghost and slime are in fall apart. So, overall, kids like playing with slime with hands and even if containers didn't come apart, they still would want to touch and play with slime. I suggest making this an outside toy. When we got it the presentation of it looked super fun! I wont lie, I played with it first before handing it over to our 4 yr Son. The slime was fun however the container which holds it does not screw on and will pop of if you shake as the instructions say to do. So this was a big bummer. The toy inside was was very cute BUT just wobbled around inside the slime. No fun in that. I put colored marbles in and it made it more fun. So, before I handed it over to my 4 yr old I had to tape around the contain to make sure the cup the slime was in stayed on. I showed him how use the toy and let him at it. I kid you not, no more than 10 mins later I go to see how he's doing and the was slime..... EVERYWHERE! Clothes, bedding, floor and his hair. Ugh! I would not recommend this toy because it lacks safety features to prevent a mess. This is not a toy for a 4 yr old. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
