I do like this toy, but it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. The description made it sound like more of the pieces were magnetic, when, in fact, only a couple of the pieces are. The majority of the pieces snap into place. Only the skeleton is magnetic, but all the Iron Man armor snaps on. Not that I wouldn't have bought the toy, but it would have been nice if the description had been more accurate.
This toy is not made of metal. It has metal magnets at the joints, but the rest is just plastic that snaps together. It also falls apart if played with a little too vigorously, which is normal play for a little boy. In order for it to stay put together it would have to be treated like a china doll.
The magnets in this one aren't quite strong enough to hold together in even gental play- But you can't have War Machine with out Iron Man
I purchased this as a gift for my 5 year old great nephew. When I purchased the item on-line it did not say that the product had to be assembled. The toy was assembled, and continued to fall apart, frustrating a unhappy 5 year old. We returned the product to the store, and exchanged it. No matter what we tried the toy would not stay assembled. Do not recommend.
