Pros: Sensitivity Controls, Strong Magnification, Bright Eyepiece Cons: Other thoughts: Outstanding seller--quick delivery!
Pros: Bright Eyepiece Cons: Other thoughts: Great value! I was looking for a spotting scope that wouldn't break the bank and yet have reasonably clean optics. This fits the bill perfectly for me. In fact, it exceeded my expectations. It is more substantial than I expected, yet still very portable. It is not razor sharp at the highest magification, but then I don't need it cranked all the way up. I use it for target shooting and general viewing around the place. I have 6 acres with a large pond in back so there's always deer, turkey and all kinds of birds to look at, for about a quarter of what I was prepared to spend. The tripod is not rock steady, but I have two Tilt-all professional tripods and haven't had the need to mount it on one yet...I probably will, just because I have them.
Pros: Strong Magnification, Compact design Cons: Other thoughts: light compact, great for backpacking hooks great to camera for photography
Pros: Compact, Light weight, Decent for the money, Inexpensive Cons: Not great above 40x, A smaller field of view Other thoughts: A great scope to put in your carry on luggage. I would recommend the purchase of a more adequate tripod. I got one that is 40 inches tall, and folds to about 13 inches for less than [$] on-line.
Ok scope crappy tripod
Not as good optics as shown on utube..Claimed 600yd but maybe only half that
It's a MAK, so it's lite and doesn't show much chromatic aberration at the edges. It also has a very fine focusing ring which is a plus. However, it (1000g) and the plastic tripod are so lite that the scope shakes at the least touch. At 25X it does work and the brightness is about the equivalent to a 55-60mm low cost refractor. For less than $100 it's not bad. But the 75X is unusable. Also if you wear glasses the eye relief it too short so that if you touch it with your glasses, it shakes and you lose detail. If you are just looking for a lite scope for the range or quick field work it's OK.
