Great First Trike

I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it and so do her parents. She sits up straight and tall and is so happy on it. We did not think we would use the push handle, but it has been great to help her get going. The trike could tip over if you are in a hilly area, but it is working great for us.

My daughter is 17 months old she can't really pedal just yet however she loves being pushed around in it. The seat goes up far enough so she will be able to enjoy it for a long time. Just love it

Exactly what I was looking for

I searched at all my local stores (including Toys R Us) for a classic trike and could only find it (for a great price) at walmart.com. The site-to-store option was a breeze! This trike is simple, yet it has everything I wanted for my son. I wasn't looking for "bells and whistles" so the push handle was just an extra. I haven't found the push handle very helpful since you can't steer the trike with it (I have to assist my 2-year old until he gets the concept of pedaling/steering). The only negative thing is that the rubber tires are VERY potent - and you really notice it in an apartment. But rubber tires are what I was looking for. Great trike thus far - very sturdy and I love the classic look!

This bike if VERY well made. Wonderful quality, which is expected from Radio Flyer. The removable guide pole is great to use until your little one knows how to steer the tricycle. Would recommend to anyone.

My 2 1/2 year old son loves his new bike. He can reach the pedals fine and can really cruise. He sits up higher than big wheel type trikes so can really push down istead of pushing out. He has a big wheel style bike that he cannot pedal at all, even though it is for the same age group. The handle on the back comes in very handy when we are out and about. We have taken it shopping with us and he will ride next to us while we are shopping. We always get comments about how cute it is and how clever that handle is. The only negative thing I could say is that for about the first month after it came out of the box it had a very funky smell, very pungent.

I had looked at many bikes. Many had accessories like canopy's, plastic wheels, bells etc.. other bikes had pedles that didn't move while the parent pushed if the childs feet were resting on the bike pedles. I wanted my son to learn how to pedle a bike on his own and how was he going to learn that concept if the pedles didn't move when his feet were resting on it. I read other reviews of this product and it came highly recomended. My son is 2 1/2 and only 35" and less than 30lbs and after two days on this bike, he learned how to pedle on his own with an occasional push on a hill. The handle to push the bike with is ok, it isn't super strong, but it will do and I don't think you will need it long. My child already knew how to work the handle bars as we owned a ride on four wheeler designed for his age group. I can see this as being a problem for a parent trying to push the bike when a child is learning to stear, but I don't think it will take long for any child to learn on this bike. I highly recommend this bike. I didn't have any problems with turning or tipping with this bike, but I know others have mentioned they had this problem when there child was just getting the hang of the handle bars. I love, love, love this bike and so does my little guy. I got the 10" bike and I have it in the lowest position and my son reaches the pedles just fine the bike also has rubber tires not plastic. The metal does squeek a little, but nothing a little WD40 wouldn't fix. I hope this review helps someone else, it did me and I am quite happy with it and I would recomend this to bike to my friends and I will buy the next size up when it comes time and besides that, the price was right.

Good when you get all the bolts tightened

It came in only a few pieces, wasn't too hard to put together. Took 30 min. However, the picture directions did not tell me if it was a wrench or pliers. So, I used pliers and could not get the bolts tight enough. Had to take it to a male friend who used several wrenches to tighten all the bolts. Now, it works perfectly. My 1 year old son loves it, though it'll be a few months before he can pedal it.

We love it. My 2yr old is small for his age and if we put the seat all the way down he can reach the pedals. Make sure you have the proper tools to put it together. The handle bars were hard to make tight with the make shift tools we used. It's a great trike for the price.

This tricycle is adorable and I love the push bar to help guide my 2 yo and help him learn to pedal. The only downsides are the trike squeaks a lot and you have to really make sure the seat is tightened down or it swivels easily. Other than that, he really loves riding it and it's the perfect size for him at 37 inches tall.

Could've Been Great

I was so excited when we got the tricycle and were putting it together- it looks like a vintage! Everything was perfect until we were finishing up the assembly. There are these little red endcaps that are supposed to hold on the rear wheels of the bike? I've been through customer service and back and they just send me more endcaps. As soon as my son gets on the trycicle the rear wheels fall off! I don't know if maybe there's something I'm doing wrong, but as far as I know from the instructions and from customer service I have put it together correctly. It could be an awsome bike, if my some could sit on it!
