My son loves it! Lots of great time with him racing the cars!
Good: The thing is huge. Definitely wowed my 5 year old son. It take like 6' x 5'. The cars are dual slotted-pinned so that they stay on the track easier. The upside down tracks "pinch" tighter so that the dual pinned cars stay on. Much more inexpensive than similar tracks for similar quality Bad: The thing is huge. You must plan to have the floor space available. It takes up almost all of my upstairs game room's floor space. The cars and tracks are unique and hence, don't think you can go to your local hobby shop to purchase replacement parts. The thing for the most part can only be configured one way. The tracks are not standard and it tells you to plan to take 2 hours to set up. Plan on 3 - 4 hours to correct some of the small mistakes that you may make. One battery pack had a partially cut wire and I've been trying to get a replacement since the 1st day that is was totally setup. The customer service will not correspond and call back as I was told and hence no replacement part yet. It's been almost 3 weeks to this point now. If one of the battery packs for one of the elevators go bad, that part of the track is unusable. Take care of the battery packs and the elevators as they may be hard to get replacements.
I bought this for my husband and son last Christmas. Of course they were so excited, so we had to set it up that day. The box is very deceiving because 6 hours later we were staring at a race track that took up my whole family room. I was hoping for something that we could leave setup for a few days of constant play, but definately not the case. Unless you have an entire room you can dedicate to this track, you better be ready for more time to setup and dismantle than play time. Also, the piece that keeps the cars on the track busted within a few hours of play. They have extras in the box, but those busted as well.
I bought this product as a Christmas gift for my nephew because he love's cars. A few weeks ago my brother opened the box to set it up for him and he noticed that the set was missing tracks. Besides that the cars would not stick to the track and kept jumping off. This product looked nice at first but was a total disappointment.
This was awful...finally returned it to Wal-Mart which gave us a full refund. It took my husband and 10-year-old a couple of hours to assemble it. There was one question they had before it would operate. They called the company's 800 number TWICE...was told someone would call back. They never did. This MASSIVE track took up about 4-feet by 6-8 feet assembled. It is HUGE!! It looked fun, but with no help on how to get it going, it taking so long to (almost) assemble, and the fact that it would be rarely put together because of its size, we decided to take it back and get my son something he could actually play with....he never even got to see this x-mas present in action. SAD!!
