It works great. Wifi use not to make it down the hall very well. With this wifi is great now all over the house.
We needed to get WiFi o the mother in law quarters . This model will go the distance for us . Price point not so good but distance good.
I had an older netgear range extender that still worked fine but only did 2.4 and my new wifi service has 2.4 and 5.0 so I purchased this Extender. It works fantastic no buffering no picture freeze everything works as it should. Before installing this wifi extender my upstairs TV's the signal would stop and the picture would freeze and buffer . After this Super easy to install Netgear AC1200 we are so Happy with the 100% improvement in Signal. Thank You NetGear oh and the Price was fantastic. Buy This extender small compact easy to setup and You will be impressed at how simple and easy it is and It works !
We have a tiny guest cottage above the house, where you could get our Wifi internet but weakly. This extender worked for us. The setup was simple. Be patient in the setup, both in the initial step where you put the extender in the same room as your router and thereafter. It takes a bit longer for the device to "think" its way through your connection. The cottage is thirty or forty yards away.
This product was very easy to set up. Price point a little higher than what I wanted to pay but worth it for the extender coverage obtained. Highly recommend.
Should have picked Netgear the first time. Had to return the other brand I got because I could not get it to work. I chose this one because it was Netgear and figured I would not have a problem with it. Not only was it easy to program, it works excellent. No more buffering downstairs at all. I'm very happy with this purchase.
Have a smart tv in my bedroom and whenever I watched a streaming source it always do the wheel of delay during the good parts of the show. Did my research on the Net gear WiFi extender and decided to give it a try.....BEST DECISION EVER. Easy set up and no more spinning wheel of delay. Wish I got it sooner.

On the advice of an Optimum technician, I replaced my Optimum WiFi extender with this Netgear model and now I have whole-house coverage! I couldn't be happier!
Was used and didn't work. It was configured to a new name Fontier 6540 not Netgear-ext like it should have been.
