I'm shocked at how great this works!

My son-in-law recommended this when he saw that we had ethernet cords running from room to room to our various laptops and smart tv's, because we have such horrible WiFi connectivity in our house. Literally just plug it in and it works. We pay for 75Mbps Fios through Frontier, and this thing actually increased speeds to over 90Mbps.

I bought this thinking it wouldn't work very well but I was wrong. It has worked perfectly. I placed it out in a detached garage that is a considerable distance from the house. Flawless performance.

We have a desktop PC that was using a wifi adapter. I had gone through 3 different wifi adapters but still had service that would come and go. I am on Timewarner and use their modem which positioned in my house is in a closet (no line of sight) and to make it worse, behind the wall of my oven. Read online about these nifty powerline adapter kits and thought it would solve my problem. I hooked it up in under 5 minutes. The package had 2 adapters. You plug one up to the outlet and connect the Ethernet cable to the back of the modem. Plug the other unit in the wall and connect cable to PC. Press button on bottom at adapter connected to modem and then to one on computer. Viola! So far perfect speed and no loss of service. I will be going back to get another package to add the bonus room and garage to my network. Excellent product!

I have been using this for a month now, and it works great. It's easy to install and use, just plug it in and and you're connected to the internet. No more hardwired. Yeah...

This is an excellent product. I'm able to get around 100 mbps download on the computer upstairs which is what my ISP cap is. This is just as good, if not better than the computer downstairs hooked directed to the modem.

Went from mere Kbps-10mbps to 44mbps! Saved me from drilling into my house foundation to port Ethernet jacks. Well worth it. I'm gaming at max speed on PS4 now. PS4 has a horrible wifi antenna...

Not sure where they get the 1000 Mbs number from. There's an asterisk next to it on the box, and I never found the fine print. Think I saw 200 Mbs in my tiny apartment, which isn't terrible. House wiring has physical limitations, so set your expectations accordingly. Just would be nice if they were more transparent about what you can realistically expect.

Didn't work for me

Reviewed in the USA on 2016-11-09T16:00:00

Purchased this equipment at the advice of a Comcast technician to extend WiFi coverage from the upstairs gateway to the downstairs smart tv for streaming. Didn't work for me due to I believe the circa 1985 wiring and fuse box. Also an inconvenience finding an outlet upstairs/downstairs for another 3-prong device that fits only the lower plug. Time taken between ordering and delivery was not competitive with other retailers for same price would be my main reason to not recommend buying from Wal-Mart if needed asap. Went with a Linksys extender from another retailer.

Speed is MUCH less than advertised. In my best case test I was only able to get 30 mbps down and 10 mbps up.
