We recently received Lionel's Winter Wonderland LionChief Set, and it certainly has put my fiancé and I in the holiday spirit! After opening the box, my fiancé was able to set up everything in a timely manner. You do have to use some muscle to push the track pieces together. The set is well made and I love the white FasTrack®! The set comes with a LionChief® remote, but we preferred using the Bluetooth™ LionChief® app because you can control the volume levels that way. With both the remote and app, you are able to play a whistle, bell, special Christmas music and announcements, as well as move the train forward/backward. There is also a working headlight and smoke unit which made the set that much more exciting! Overall, my fiancé and I are very happy with this Lionel train set. *The product has been provided by Lionel free of charge so I could experience it; however, the thoughts and opinions are all my own.
My husband is an avid train fan. I recently got the opportunity to test and review Lionel's Winter Wonderland Lionchief Set. To say my husband was excited would be an understatement! First I want to say that the setup was super easy. I actually put the track together myself! I love the white tracking. It really goes perfect with the whole Christmas theme. Would be absolutely beautiful going around a Christmas tree. Our floors are being redone so we had to settle setting it up on our dining table. It comes with a steam locomotive that puffs out smoke when you add some smoke fluid that is included and also has working headlights! Also includes a Winter Wonderland Express coal car, Sleigh Bells
My kids were very excited to set up this train. It goes together easily so ny 5 and 7 years olds were able to help assemble it. The remote pairs on it's own and you can control the bells, whistle and play a variety of fun seasonal sounds, including 2 songs and a few phrases. The smoke feature is adorable, but it does smell kinda funky. The bluetooth feature is fun and you have a lot more control, like you can adjust the volume of the sounds. My kids and my husband love this setup and it will be absolutely perfect around our tree this Christmas! The Lionel O Scale Winter Wonderland Train Set with Remote and Bluetooth capabilities has been so enlighening for our family. From the moment it arrived, my childrens eyes lit up. The train not only plays different Christmas songs, but also plays a bell and actually smokes from the locomotive. The train goes backwards and forwards. The track easily put together and the app is simple to download and connect with the bluetooth. Much detail has been put into each piece. The locomotive is made mainly of metal and is heavy and sturdy. We simply love this train. It has been the perfect addition to not only our Christmas decor but our memories too. Thanks Lionel!
Wow you want to talk about a great train set, lets talk!! Remember you pay for what you get - and you get a great train set that will last a life time. 1st take you time putting it together correctly, your train set will run perfectly if you do - the connections need to be made for the train to run that is why its important they the track is together correctly. I was shocked at how much the Engine weighs and the technology that goes into making it work. I love the idea that it is a blue tooth train set and can be run through your phone while you are sitting on the couch this was my favorite part of this train set. My kids and I couldnt wait to till Christmas to put it up so we set it up in their playroom to test it out - we all love the smoke it makes is so real. Only one that didnt like the train was our puppy she kept chasing after it. I am looking forward to adding additional pieces to this set each year and having this to pass on to our kids when they get older (only problem will be who gets it) My parents still have the one from when we were kids that my dad puts up every year - that train set is 40 years old - now he takes very good care of the trains, every couple years he takes them in for a clean up - So keep in mind when you are buying a Lionel Train Set this is something that will last forever !! I tried posting a video of how great it works and showing the smoke but it wont let me.
Arrived in great condition. Haven't set it up yet, however, it looks like it will be easy to put around the Christ.
I received the winter wonderland train from Lionel free of charge for my honest review. First and foremost this train is gorgeous. It came packaged nicely, everything was wrapped separately, and came with user friendly instructions. My train came with 5 cars, 8 track pieces, a power chord, remote control and extra smoke liquid. It was fairly easy to set up, the track pieces that connect are kind of tough to push together, you will need to use force. The train itself connects magnetically. The problem with that is if the train is bumped it can disconnect from the other train cars. The engine of the train is made of heavy metal, and the other cars are plastic. I assume the lightness of the card help it move easily. This train is very well made and should last for years to come. This train has multiple amazing features, which can be controlled by the remote or you can download the app and control it through there. I prefer the remote as when I connected it to my phone, I had to reconnect the Bluetooth every time it stopped working (due to my kid bumping it off the track, or it coming in contact with my Christmas tree branches.) The winter wonderland train is definitely a Christmas train, complete in red, white and green colors, and plays Christmas music! It also whistles, blows smoke, and you can turn on a conductor voice to make it truly realistic. The train itself is pretty loud going around the track, but the other sound features you can adjust the volume or turn off completely. This train is a must have to put around your Christmas tree! It truly puts the finishing touch to my Christmas display. However, make sure that the train tracks are flat, connected the way the instructions state, and that nothing can get in its way or throw it off track. I have 3 little kids and they constantly try and touch it, which makes it lose power and then I have to reset it and make sure it's in the perfect spot on the track so it will work properly again. All in all this is a great addition to anyone's train collection or Christmas display. I highly recommend the winter wonderland train from Lionel. I look forward to adding this train as part of our Christmas tradition for years to come! Thanks Lionel.
We love our Lionel Winter Wonderland train set! It was easy to set up, we put ours under our Christmas tree, and it looks great! All of the pieces of track are sturdy and excellent quality. Every well built, high quality train car has realistic details, right down to a door that opens and closes on the box car. The engine is heavy, and using the included solution, really makes steam and has a working headlight. This train is super easy to operate using either the app or the included remote control. You can control it to go forwards or backwards, speed it up or slow it down, play Christmas music and jingle bells, use the whistle, and have it play announcements. I just wish we had the option to control the volume on the remote control, like you can on the app. This product has been provided by Lionel free of charge so I could experience it; however, the thoughts and opinions are all my own.
The best item Ive ever purchased from Walmart. So many compliments and I have recommended it multiple times. Starting a new family tradition with this set. Worth the money
