My son has owned this for about three years. The train still works and the parts still hold together. My son loves it and is excited to add more sections and cars. The bridge sides aren't Fort Knox secure but they stay in place well enough until the train comes around.
For the price its ok. Thomas goes around but will only carry one cargo car or it won't be able to go up the slope. You have to get the track just right or thomas will derail!! There is really no way to tell apart the four long curves so you just have to keep switching them till you get it right. It would be great if the track actaully had the letters on it that correspond with the diagram.
My son loves this set. I put it together the night before chirstmas n placed it in front of the chirstmas tree. The best part is you can buy other thomas anf friends train to this set and your child will have as much fun as my son did!
My son had asked for this months ago and we found it on site to store for a great price. He was very excited on Christmas morning. He had mentioned he wanted another set (he received one of the Misty Island sets as well) because he was concerned the "Shake Shake Bridge" would not have enough tracks. I am sure this was due to the size of the box, but a complete set really is included. If your child loves Thomas they will enjoy this set as a starter or in addition to their other sets. I am very pleased with this purchase.
I was disappointed in the size of the track for the price. The sides of the bridge fall before the train gets to it. Our Thomas had a sticky wheel or something because it studdered as it moved. We exchanged it and when we got it home and it had the same problem! We ended up using an engine we bought seperately. All in all, I wish I had gotten the larger track with the logging mill and zip line. This was not worth the money.
The train is good but the tracks keeps coming apart when thomas comes around and the train keeps coming off the track.Go for the more expensive train track sets,you get what you pay for.
For how much I got it, its ok. I have a 3 year old that got this for Christmas and we put it together once and she went back to using her wooden train set. Its doesnt stay together as hoped, but I guess I got it for a great deal $10, so I cant complain. It was a good Christmas present for My little girl
This track is just not worth wasting your money on. the track doesn't stay together and the train will not stay on the track for long. The train constantly falls off the track and it cannot pull anything but itself up the hills. yeah the price is low for thomas but in the end my son just ended up playing with the train on his other track sets so i could have just bought a new train and saved money.
This product is flimsy and keeps coming apart. When you do get the tracks to stay together, Thomas will fall off the track or get stuck. The shaky bridge is kind of boring for my 3 yr old. He plays with the Thomas train off the track more than with the track. Definately would not recommend this toy.
I have paid less for Thomas Sets and have gotten more "bang" for my "buck." The set appears to be flimsy, at the least. The bridge rails don't really stay in the upright position. I am not at all impressed with Fisher Price's Thomas' products. I don't see much "shaking." I found more success with the product when placed on a train table. It is easy to put together, however few children will be entertained.
