I bought these as favours for my son's birthday party - he turned 6 years old. I liked that it was smaller as the kids' hands are smaller but assumed it would function like a normal-sized slinky, being able to "walk" down the stairs etc. The diameter is smaller, but the length of the slinky is also shorter so it's pretty much just a glorified spring. It's not long enough to navigate walking down the stairs and you can't "juggle" it. Very flimsy so after a few minutes, my son had already bent it. The kids still enjoyed it but it didn't function as I had envisioned. I would spend the extra dollar and buy the larger slinky, or go for the plastic one for this age group.
Way too small For what I needed it for maybe didn't read it well enough before I ordered it but it was a nice little slinky didn't last long with my seven-year-old granddaughter.
