I am writing this for my husband, but he loves this product! He doesn't spend a lot of time on his hair, and doesn't like it to look over done or super shiny and stiff. This is perfect for him to just smooth out the front of his hair, and gives the perfect amount of hold.
It works as advertised and that is more than enough. Keeps my hair in shape and it washes out cleanly. Yes, it can take a little work, at first, to get the right amount out of the jar but other similar clay pomades are just as, if not more, difficult.
It's very very firm so it takes a little rubbing with your hands to warm it up for easy application, but once you've done that, it applies normally and holds like no other.
It holds my hair and looks natural. To boot, my wife thinks it smells great! Although I am sure other good products are out there, this one is so good I am not thinking about looking elsewhere.

I think it is best point. It makes me relax. And, Clay Pomade has "high hold". It hold my "asian thikcker hair". If you don't use hair-spray, it is easy re-styling. So,I reccomend Clay Pomade for asian having thick hair.
I love this stuff. Its lite and keeps my hair style all day. A little goes a very long way and its easy to apply.
I have been trying four pomades from Baxter of California as part of a travel size package. This pomade is one of my favorites because it has the strongest hold. I definitely had better success using it while my hair was still damp and by using it in moderation. Using too much is very easy to do but if you use the right amount your hair will be perfect. I have shorter hair so it helps keep it all together. The only thing I don't like about it is the smell. I have been using this for testing purposes as a complimentary gift from Baxter of California.
Good product, and has good quality. However, I'm not convinced that it is worth the price that it is sold for. Very expensive when you get comparable product and quality at other brands at cheaper prices.
It's a very hard product. You really need to warm it up by rubbing it in your hands so it can spread out evenly. Probably best for shorter haircuts. It also doesn't wash out easily. I guess that might mean you can save a little the next day. Hold is pretty good. It should be easier to use for the price.
Not as flexible and doesn't have the same texture as the hard cream pomade. I usually get the hard cream pomade and the only reason I tried this was because they are sold out of their own products for months. This is not an adequate substitute so do not buy if you think it's a one for one sub.
