My husband purchased this product for our porch about 2 years ago. It is not the quality I would set out in weather. On my screened in porch, it has retained color and wood has not split or dried. We have not put new coat of red wood stain, but have wiped dust/ pollen regularly. It looks like the day we purchased. Again, this is not the quality I would put out in elements, as I do believe it would decay repidly. We are happy with this purchase and it is lasting through our regular use, as well as our children's use (climbing and jumping). The screws have had to be tightened, since wood sweels/ shrinks with varying weathering conditions, but again, this has not inhibited our use at all.
This five piece Adirondack set is just perfect. The construction of it is superb; there is little assemby required; it is a classy look to any backyard. It is a must have. Why would you not buy it at this price if you like your backyard. Even if you don 't like your yard, you will when this set is up.
The chairs are beautiful and not difficult to set up. The only thing was that all the pieces weren't there. I was missing pieces for the table so I couldn't set it up. I am calling the 800 number to get the pieces in. I like to sit on the chairs by the pool and just relax.
Love the chairs, but as we were trying to assemble the chairs, the holes for the screws didn't match up! We had to drill our own holes to make it work. You get what you pay for i guess...
love the style and comfort and delivery was just in time for the party.
I know it's not teak but it serves it's purpose and looks much more expensive than it is. I had a friend over who was much heavier than me and my fiance so it creaked a bit when he sat on it but over all the construction is sturdy. If you want life long furniture make the investment but if you want something fast and inexpensive this is the way to go. P.S. The delivery company was very nice and easy to work with.
The set had several issues. The first and foremost was wood that was cracked. The arm rail has several full length cracks in the wood (working with Walmart to gain replacement). Secondly was the hole placement of two pieces did not line up with their mates. Required drilling on my part to properly assemble. The rest of the product is nice and I do sit in them often.
The product arrived in excellent condition, was in every way as advertised, a very attractive set, easy to assemble and adds immeasurably to the appearance of my deck. I found this set to be a real bargain, especially compared to a similar product offered at several other web sites.
I purchased this set in 2006 and have had it for one year. At first, I was surprised at what I thought was a great value for the price. Now I realize that you get what you pay for. Soon after we began using the set (maybe once per month, just in the warm months) the screws began to split the wood slats. (and my husband and are are by no means overweight). And this summer, I began to notice that the color was chipping off all over on the chairs. I suppose we could address this by sanding and re-staining the set, but I thought they would have held up a little better than they have.
I've been searching for patio chairs all summer and thought I found a great deal with this product. Unfortunately, when we finally received it, we found that the holes were drilled too far apart and we weren't able to create a fix. We're in the process of returning the set. I guess you get what you pay for...
