Maybe previous reviewers don't know how to use it... but we love this thing! Tells us the temp of bath so it's never too hot or cold- I used it being pregnant having baths too. Just tap it on the tub and it turns on EVERY time.... bought one for grandma's house too! Highly recommend to all my friends having babies.
I bought this for a baby shower gift. The new mommy loves it.
I bought this with my first baby who is now 7 and a half. I've never changed the battery. Works perfect. If it doesn't come on when i put it in the water, i just give it a tap on the tub and it works. definitely recommend
We have been using it regularly for the past almost 7 months now, and we absolutely love it. It works great; lights up when it is too hot and also lets you know if it is too cold. No complaints.
I got this for my baby shower, and we've been using it for over a year. It took me a while to figure out how to turn it on, but once I did it hasn't failed me. For those wondering how to make it work, give it a good smack on the side of the tub, or just drop it into the empty tub before you start filling it up.
I've tried it a couple of times now. It takes a while to give a reading... way longer than another that I have. I haven't been able to figure out a way to turn it off, I don't think there is? It didn't turn off for me and the battery died within the first week. I might have just got a bad one that doesn't turn off. I changed the battery and it seems to work, just have to watch it goes off. It's cute though! When it's working it's nice.
Bought it with what I assumed was a dead battery. Changed it out, and it still didn't work. Chalked it up to another dud after reading these reviews, until my husband knocked into the tub from the tub ledge. Somehow the short fall into the tub made it work. Now, I just give it a smack against my palm or a good shake and it comes on 95% of the time. Now that I know how to get it to work,
My kids like playing with this and it's super cute but sometimes it doesn't work for reasons I don't fully understand. I'll think it's time to throw it away and wow! there's the temp again. I'd recommend buying something that works more regularly if you really need this to monior temp for a baby/child.
It worked great once, then it didn't work at all.
Takes forever to turn on when put in water, has no on/off button. Seems to have issues working after 1st use from package. Also, it takes about 10 seconds to register new temperatures, so when you add cold or hot water it doesn't immediately change on the screen.
