I needed to invest in a bar code label printer and after a lot of research went with the Brother QL-700. It completely exceeded my expectations, especially with the low purchase price. The print quality is perfect and the speed is more than fast enough. The software included help me thru the barcode layout process perfectly Also, the sample label rolls really worked out well. I already purchased full rolls of my preferred label at a great price as well.
QL-700 met and exceeded my expectations. For such a compact device, I was pleasantly surprised at what I could accomplish with it. The features list was quite impressive when I read the description and after using it for a number months now, I am happy to report that it has fulfilled my main printing functions.
It prints clearly and clipart is great. small or large print is readable. My only regret is i couldnt afford right now the bigger printer that can do 4in wide labels. highly recommend this
Having the requirement to ship many packages, it quickly became obvious that handwritten addresses were a pain (literally). The QL700 with 2.4" tape made it convenient to make many labels which were neat, easy to read, and appreciated by the USPS and sore hands. It is also small and quiet. The automatic shutoff mean never worrying about power or heat.
I like it. It handles the task well. Using the software provided with it causes it to print quickly. I have not had the opportunity to try it with my business program yet, which is QB 2013. The only thing I can think of that would be nice is if it would 'wake-up' when I send a print command to it instead of needing to first turn it on, (which I forget to do sometimes).
I am 78 years old. This is the BEST electronic device I have ever purchased. I am a realtor doing 50-50 rentals and buyiing or selling 6-10 properties per year. I use it quite a bit. All other apps for my various printers cannot compare with the ease and versatility.

This label printer works with Mac Pro however the software is a little tricky. Down loaded fine when you need to print label you have have to search to find the get label name to print. There does not seem to be an "open file" tab to find your saved addresses. Other than that the printer itself works fine. I gave it a 4 star because it is not as easy to use a the Microsoft version....
Nice label writer. I had a Dymo before, but one day it just quit working - couldn't really get any timely help from the Dymo people. There is no way to talk to someone except through email, so I couldn't wait for three days to get a response. Therefore, I decided to try a Brother product. The only think I don't like is that it prints under the label. Don't know why it bothers me, so maybe it is just getting used to it. I can't see what I printed until it cuts the label (which I really like), and I turn it over.
Returned item..I am sure if you wanted to use this machine for office labels...a utilitarian use they would be ok...no choices for fonts..colors in labels...etc..If you wanted to use this for handmade crafts and wanted to dress up your labels you need something else. If you offered any other options in label colors and font selection, borders...I would repurchase this item.
