Our home needs low temperature alarms and a basement floor water sensor. The geothermal heat pump uses lots of well water and has caused enough problems in the past to keep us worried when we're away. We wanted to replace the old alarm devices that connect through the telephone land-line. We found the perfect solution at a surprisingly low cost. There are three parts to the system - 1) a "gateway" which connects to an Ethernet port on your router; 2) as many as 5 "sensors; and 3) a smartphone app. The system is easy to install. Once you set aside the printed instructions, simply follow the "Setup Video" on the La Crosse website support page. With the smartphone app, you can view the sensors readings, choose the sensor interval (the default is every 15 minutes), get low battery alerts and see how good the connection is between the sensor and the gateway. Our water sensor is two floors away from the gateway and reads 100% good. if the readings fall out of the thresholds you set, you can have the system send email and/or message alerts The alert service is free for the first 3 months, then less than $12 a year. In all, this monitor system is just what I was looking for and far exceeded my expectations.
exactly what we needed for our well house great invention thanks
Easy set up but not the part where you need to pay monthly fee for it to send you report of leak
