While they are cute they mostlikely are ment more for knitting then croching and the description was not clear. for them to work for croching they need to be attached to a safety pin or lobster claw to hook into the crochet stitches.
I purchased three sizes of these markers several years ago and have used them for several projects. They are fun and cheery to look at while knitting. The problem, however, is that they are hugely impractical. The markers shift between the point of the heart and the rounded parts of the heart. It takes a bit of fiddling to move the marker and knit the next stitch. Further, the point of the heart is weak; several have cracked at the point making them useless since they catch the yarn fibers. My preference would be to make round markers in these colors and texture. I'm indicating that I would recommend this to a friend, but I do so with reservations.
