These scissors are super sharp and very handy to have around. I quickly put them through a series of test. They zip through fabric with very clean cuts. These little scissors cut plastic poster board, thick cardboard, twine, and even a pair of jeans with ease. These scissors may be compact , but they are easy to store, easy to use, and top notch quality. I will be utilizing these as my go to pair of scissors from now on. My only complaint is the finger holes could be a little larger for the ones of us with larger fingers. However that doesn't effect the quality and craftsmanship. Give these scissors a try if you're in the market for a new pair. You will be surprised how amazing these are.
Love these scissors. You can definitely tell they're high quality. They're super sharp and cut smooth. They have a very sharp point to cut into tight spaces. They're going to be great for many different projects from paper to fabric. The finger grips are just the right size and have a nice rubbery texture to help grip them better. I also love that they have a lifetime warranty.
I really like these scissors even though I nipped my finger using them the first time. Getting used to how sharp and pointed they are will only take a second or two. I was originally thinking of using them for sewing projects. They are small, comfortable in the hand, and have a very pointed tip allowing you to get into tightly sewed areas. They are sharp enough to make cutting any thread a breeze. I also used these scissors during some crafting projects and was very happy with how they perform. The small size allows them to be stored in smaller boxes along with other items. The rubberized finger holes keep the scissors in place and don't allow them to move when cutting, this makes them excellent for any detailed small cuttings. Nice product and a must-have for anyone who sews or does crafting.
I work with fabrics and craft with paper so was able to put these to a good test. From cutting straps of paper, half sheets of paper and label papers, to cutting through nylons, threads on fabric and leather, and and cutting through 2 layers of t-shirt, these scissors performed wonderfully. I like how they fit closely to the fabric do there isn't excess when cutting off threads. The blades are sharp from one end to the other and the design allows for miniscule cutting. The handle is designed well and comfortable as well.
Very Comfortable And Sharp. They are easy to use even with our somewhat arthritic fingers. They carry a full lifetime warranty from Fiskars. Intended for cutting through a single layer of fabric, snipping threads, edging, etc.
My company has a fleet of vehicles. All of these vehicles have three to four sets of keys that are hanging on tags in the locked key holder in our main office. Since the tags and keys all look the same I use a label maker to label every tag. This avoids any confusion between the employees and vehicles. in the past I used a marker to mark the tags but it would wear off after a couple months. The labels come out a little long from the machine. I was looking for a good solution to cut them instead of regular size scissors. These Fisk er small scissors do a perfect job. They are extremely sharp and make a very nice cut on the label. Plus if I have an odd shape it is easy to round off the corners. They are very comfortable.
These Fiskars scissors are great! They are very sharp, so they can cut clear without any ragged edges whatsoever. I've used them on regular typing paper, tissue paper and coffee filters with very nice-looking results. Anyone who does crafts will appreciate the sharpness and clean cutting. The Softgrip handles are very comfortable, so your fingers don't get sore after cutting through multiple sheets as they do with hard plastic or metal scissor handles. The size is excellent for smaller projects where a large blade would be too much. The tip has a little edge on it, which is great for when you need to pierce the interior of a paper to start a cut inside, such as for scrapbooking. I am very happy with these scissors and would recommend them to crafters without reservation. I received this product from the Spark Reviewer program.
I received my pair of Fiskars premier 5 Soft grip MICRO- Tip Scissors .theses scissors are excellent for cutting intricate shapes and designs . The pointed tip allows you to cut into small spaces the soft grip handle is so comfortable and easy on your fingers .I would highly recommend these scissors if your into the paper crafting.
I do a fair amount of sewing so I wanted these micro-tip scissors for fabric. They're great for cutting 1-2 layers of light-medium weight fabric, but I've found they won't go through more than 2 layers at a time. I've been using them for clipping curves and corners on sewing projects. I like that they're so small and precise I can get in tight spaces with them and cut more accurately.
Fiskars scissors are the favorite of my wife. This pair of scissors (Fabric & Mixed Media Scissors) is first of all very comfortable on a person's fingers. The grips do not slide off your fingers like scissors without a softgrip. The softgrip handle assures less hand fatigue and will prove to be comfortable for using at longer periods of time. And the scissors are ambidextrous: can be used by left or right handed persons quite easily. Things like scrapbooking can be much more enjoyable with the precision ground stainless steel blades. Cutting an intricate design on scrapbook paper will be much easier than using a larger pair of scissors. The scissors easily make tight cuts and cut all the way to the tip of the blade. This is necessary when cutting fabric. I do not quilt but my wife says this pair of scissors would be excellent for anyone quilting the old fashioned way: cutting out fabric squares by hand. Being small allows a quilter to make small, neat looking ravel free cuts for a beautifully done quilt. However, she does say that when cutting fabric for other purposes she likes the bigger Fiskars scissors better. Also, when the need arises to cut thread in a garment these Fiskars Micro-Tip blades can handle the job easily and perfectly without damaging the garment. I can recommend this pair of scissors without any hesitation whatsoever.
