I discourage the purchase of this item. Spend a little more and purchase a Honda or Briggs and Stratton engine and pump. I should have been smarter than to purchase a 170 dollar pump and expect any sort of quality. The pump and fittings are made of cheap diecast Al. The design is poorly laid out. Mine arrived damaged witha broken air filter housing. It is clear to see why because it is held on by two tiny screws and alot of plastic. It is right infront of the pull cord. The engine runs loud with a strange "clank" in it, and it would not run with the choke off, even after warm with less than 1 m of lift and nearly zero (50 cm) of suction. The manual indicates that the pump must be taken to a small engine repair shop to be re-jetted for high elevation. I called the three shops in my area, none would touch this unit because they said they could not get parts, and because they could not guarentee any sucess with any work on it. If you need a pump on a regular basis, this one is a waste of money.
