I agree- these directions are terrible. The design of this product is worse. All heavy metal parts are connected to one little plastic part that fails often. Moen is not a good brand. It would be at least helpful if the model number was on the handle or base. Looking for pictures is redic. I have replaced shower, and kitchen sink, and bathroom sink with parts more than once. Their product should last at least 15 years. It is hard to get 3 years out of them. I will not buy again or fix again.
The instructions and the diagrams are terrible. Save yourself the anguish and call Moen for step by step instructions.
The supplied instructions did not match up with the style of valve.
