I really am happy with this choice, really like the machine. I was a little hesitant about a refurbished machine, but if it was not stated you would never know it was not brand new. It came in its original box, the machine is just like brand new, accessories appear brand new, everything was sealed in their original packaging. The DVD instructions are great, really helpful as this machine is so different from my ancient old machine. I have only tried the basics, but that has been just fine. Love the automatic threader!!! The bobbin is very easy to use also. So far, so good, very happy with the purchase, look forward to many years of use. Great value and shipping was on time as stated.
It is very easy to use and works great for me. I also bought a walmart protection plan for it. Made a pillow case by myself.
Bought this as a birthday present for an adult who always said that she wanted to learn to sew. She spent the day learning to uses the machine and experimenting with different settings and stitches. The next day she made throw pillows out of some fun material she bought. The discounted price also makes me feel better if she decides that sewing is not for her. The one problem she had was with the instruction book; she found it confusing. The book covers more than one model of their sewing machines. We watch some video by owner of this model on YouTube and it became clearer how to use it. Good for beginner to learn and not so limiting as a lesser number of stitches machine.

I am posting this review as part of my entry in Walmart's Holiday Sewing Contest. Even though this machine is refurbished, it comes looking brand new. It came in an unopened box with great packaging, manuals, extra feet, etc. I was brand new to sewing when I got this and had no problem figuring out how to get started from the manual. Despite tons of my own user error (lots of "oops" on my part) it works as well today as the day I got it. I included a picture of my first two projects, a pin cushion and matching sewing machine cover/mat.
Do not let the word REFURBISHED scare you from making this purchase. This is an excellent machine and a great bargain! I tested all the stitches/functions immediately after it arrived and everything works beautifully. Came with all the accessories, and not a scratch on it. Very easy to use, and no fuss. I would recommend this machine to beginners and those with experience.
I'm a beginner in the sewing world so I bought this machine to learn on. It arrived looking brand new in its original packaging with booklets and dvd, also new. It was super easy to set up and get going and I'm excited that it is so easy to buy all the extra feet, needles, etc. for it. The fact that it was refurbished does not detract from its looks or performance in any way. If you didn't know it was refurbished you certainly wouldn't be able to tell by looking at it and it works beautifully. I am very pleased I took a chance with this machine and would highly recommend it to anyone.
No more paying someone to hem my denim jeans. Couldn't believe how easily I could hemmed my own jeans with the sewing machine. For beginners, watch the enclosed tutorial DVD, and must read the owners manual, you'll be glad you did.
I am what one would call a beginner at sewing. I wanted a machine with more than the basic features so I wouldn't have to go out to buy a new machine once my skills improved. It's cute, gets the job done, and didn't break the bank while learning a new hobby :)
Good light duty machine for basic sewing needs. Stitched through seams on dress slacks with no issue other than had to help the eight layers feed through the foot. Self threading works very nice and easy to thread both upper and lower paths. Nice variable speed foot pedal makes for excellent control
