My Brother came like it was brand new..no scratches nothing..packed as never taken out of the box...love it and glad I made the decision to go refurbished...they are like double checked so feel confident all is well with it...I already sewed couple things and have more repair pieces in the que... Below are 2 pics..one has the removable arm off(nice and easy to slide off) the other with it on...
Purchased for 10 year old to replace a kids sewing machine that never worked. This machine shows no sign of use. Would be hard to prove it is refurbished. Her first project was an outfit for her American girl dolls. Worked as well as my Kenmore machine. Bobbin was easy to load, Machine was simple to thread, and came with simple to follow startup instructions and all the accessories a beginner will need. Only thing I can see as a potential problem...some parts like the spool pin are plastic. Maybe that is standard now? My machine is older so many things are metal. All in all..great purchase for the price. Great machine for beginners. Don't shy away from the word refurbished. You'd never know.
I always wanted a sewing machine but felt intimidated since I had never used one before. So I decided to take a chance and do something that would make me happy and I bought this machine. This is by far one of the best purchases I made in life! It was so easy to set up that I was for certain I had missed something. It has 17 different stitching patterns that can be chosen with a simple twist of the dial. I have used each and every pattern since having it. I have even taught my 11 year old daughter how to use it. I am such a fan of this machine that once I perfect my skill I will upgrade to another model. This order arrived on time and the packaging was impeccable. I have no complaints about my experience with this sewing machine except I should have bought this years ago.
I am no expert in sewing or sewing machines. But this Brother is a very nice and quiet running machine. I had purchased another brand and returned it because it seemed too cheap, noisy, and vibrated too much when sewing. This machine is refurbished but looks brand new. I think that foreign companies often confuse our electricity with theirs and ship the wrong power cord or electrical component, requiring the manufacturer to correct the problem and sell it as refurbished.
I have never touched a sewing machine in my life. This is so easy to use and the instructions dvd is easy to understand. The size is perfect. not too big and not too small. it looked brand new. I used it to join 4 pieces of fabric to make one big tablecloth for my baby shower and it turned out lovely. I joined 6 tablecloths in one day.
Sent this machine to my sister who wanted to stay sewing again and possibly start a business. When she received it she opened it and quickly whipped up her first project. I little girl dress for my friend daughter. I was so touched and overjoyed she used it. She said it worked just like new. We are very pleased. Thanks Walmart and Brother for offering such a good value deal.
Terrific machine was able to sew through three pieces of material for quilted placemats no problem. Tension was great and the stitches were perfect. Very light weight and portable. I am really pleased with the machine.

This is a nice basic sewing machine, especially at the low price, which was even lower on Cyber Monday. I needed a sewing machine for basic repairs, so I wasn't looking for something with the latest fancy features. This is perfect, and it has a buttonhole foot and stitches, and one for zippers too. I can still make clothing if I want, as well as hems and other repairs. The DVD came in very handy for the setup too. The only issue I had was in the bobbin setup, the needle didn't seem to pick up the bobbin thread the way it should have, but I managed it, and that was just a minor glitch. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this cute machine!
I am very happy with this sewing machine. Good instructions, easy to use, and could sew more stitches than I thought I would get. I only need to make repairs and sew hems but I could do much more. Worked great. I only needed a refurbished machine because I do not sew often, so it fits the bill perfectly!
