If you are a digital age person and everything is digitalized, this is the watch for you......this is the best watch I have had yet......you can wear while swimming even!!!!!!!!
I have taken this watch to hades and back. It's made it through 6 months at Fort Leonard Wood in the coldest and hottest of temperatures, a combat deployment to Afghanistan, and 4 years in between. I've swam in the ocean and I don't know how many swimming pools. Unfortunately, the velcro on the band has finally worn out and it just won't stay on my wrist anymore. I looked into just buying the incredible band that comes with it, but it costs more than the watch when bought separately. I'm buying 5 of these watches, removing the batteries from four of them, and putting them away for later. This is a perfectly manufactured military watch and it's beautiful too! Buy it now before they stop making it!
THIS IS A GREAT LOOKING WATCH AND IT WAS VERY EASY TO PROGRAM. HOWEVER THE PROGRAM GUIDE/WARRENTY WERE HARD TO FIND. THEY ARE TUCKED INSIDE THE INCLOSED CASE.
I have owned this watch for a week and I really like it. It is easy to set the time and alarm and to use any of the other functions. It is however very "sensitive" on the four settings buttons. This has caused confusion when one of the buttons has accidentally been pressed and I am now seeing the second time zone versus the first (one hour difference). Also, when ordering it I thought the watch was smaller in size. This is a very large watch.
It has the exact features that I wanted without it being expensive. The stopwatch and countdown timer are the features that I use the most. They are simple to set up and to use.
The watch does everything I need/want! I love that you can actually read the time and the date, neither one is so small as to be difficult to see. The only thing I am not impressed by is the when you light the dial, you have to turn the watch in the perfect angle in order to see the numbers. But overall I would highly recommend this watch! (Plus, the band is EXTREMELY comfortable!!)
I bought this watch for my husband for christmas. By April it was broke due to moisture. He wants another just like it becasue of the band but all of the other features are pretty ordinary. That is what he wants though. This is a great watch for work for him. The light up screen is cool too. I'm buying him another one... he just can't get it wet again in the shower.
I believe my mom bought this for me back in September when my old Timex band kicked the bucket. I lasted till about now. I just ordered another Timex. The buttons on it are a little touchey, so you might look down and see some random numbers, but over all I expected more from this watch. It lasted 8 months or so. All of the other watches I had lasted many times that, probably 3 times that long. Knowing that it was an Armitron, I thought it would last forever, but it was cheap, and I was wrong. Also, for the past week, all it would do is tell time. None of the modes would work and the Indiglo did not work, which I use quite a bit when I want to see what time it is when it is dark in my room. I don't know why the modes did not work. Maybe moisture got to it. The band had a bad odor to it which came from sweat and dead skin cells. I had bands made out of material before and I had the same problem. Just have to hit it with some Febreze every few days. The only real positive I could say about the watch is that the lens did not scratch easily. For 18 dollars though, I guess you get what you pay for.
Bought this from my local Walmart thinking I'd got a bargin. Got it home and tried to set the time/date and other settings. First of all, the directions aren't very clear. Tried to follow the directions very carefully to set things. NOT. I tried at least a dozen times to go to the set mode and the watch wouldn't work. Oh, I can cycle through all the various frnctions, but can't set anything. Finally did a web search for this watch and from what I found, no one was very impressed. Should have saved my money. It's getting returned.
it looks nice feels great easy to read great watch but you cannot set the time which means the watch is usually useless i called armitron they literally and i quote "we cannot help you" i will try to have walmart jewlery center get it working again if they cannot i will have to return it
