Took a while to get it up to the ski house. Nice new bookcases to fill. Good to get more boxes out of storage. Decent weight to hold mid size books. Looks good in shadow, candlelight, or bright lights.
The details are perfect and the pieces themselves have a good weight to them. This artist is my favorite - all of his dragons are overflowing with character and charisma. They're absolutely charming. The packing was neat and everything arrived in perfect condition. I'll definitely be buying a few more in the future!
I liked the detailing on the heads very much. I paint them, which brings out tiny details but also errors. There were no errors and they had been carefully cleaned of mold debris. I enjoyed painting them because of the fine details. However, dragons to me are awe-inspiring creatures, so I didn't like the way these looked like trophy heads hung on a wall. Also, the cross hatched wall was very tedious to paint, but this would not be a consideration for anyone who leaves them in their original all black form. The photos were accurate; I just didn't see the aspects which later bothered me. They were very nicely packaged in Styrofoam.
