I used to go and get the SNS nail treatment done every two weeks to my nails. Well, I decided to stop going because my natural fingernails were becoming VERY thin and damaged from that. So, I have been painting my own nails, but my nails were breaking so often. It began to frustrate me and was making me want to go back to the SNS. Well, I tried Dashing Diva Strong and Beautiful Nail Growth Gel System. Well, I LOVE IT! You apply a thin coat of the gel. Then you place your fingers under the UV light which it comes with for 60 seconds. Then you apply a second coat and repeat with the light. This system allows me to have stronger nails without dealing with the nail technicians filing my nails down to paper thin nails! I have been wearing these nails for a week and not ONE BREAK! You can polish right over them. To remove them you have to file each nail a little with an emery board. Then soak a cotton ball in acetone nail polish remover. Place soaked cotton ball on fingernail and wrap with a small square of foil. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Then scrap off gel with one of the sticks they provide. Then you can file it smooth to you desire. I LOVE IT! When I would go get them done the nail techs would file it WAY TOO MUCH causing my nails to get extremely thin. Now that I am in control I file very little. This system is AWESOME! I will be using this from now on!
Love the way my nails look with this gel polish. It is a nice natural finish on the pink side and it lasts and lasts. I generally don't polish my nails because the polish usually chips almost immediately. This lasted a long time and looked great. Easy to remove too! The timer on the light is a marvelous feature-no need to determine how long my nails should be placed under the light. Just polish, turn it on, and it automatically shuts off. Very quick and easy. I highly recommend this set.
I could not believe that this system actually works!! I started using it and I have always had trouble growing my nails I followed all the instructions every day. After a week, I actually saw results! I was surprised. It also gives you a pink hue. It comes with a professional nail dryer which is really neat. The nail polish is also included as well as three cuticle pushers to keep the nails healthy while growing. This set up all comes in an attractively wrapped package including the instructions to use and the cord for power. I can't say enough good things about this system I would definitely recommend this product to my family and friends.
I received the Dashing Diva Strong & Beautiful Nail Growth Gel System for free with the Walmart Spark Reviewer Program. I was excited to try this product as I have always had thin weak nails that peeled and broke easily. As per the instructions I prepared my nails by pushing my cuticles back and washing and drying my hands and then applied rubbing alcohol on my nails to make sure all oils and dirt were off my nails completely. And I have to say that after using this Nail Growth Gel System for just over 2 weeks, that I am impressed so far. The gel polish cures quickly under the UV light, I doubted that I could have dry nail polish in 60 seconds by putting under a light, but it works just as it claims. My criticism is with the gel polish itself. I put my first coat on and everything worked great. I waited 3 days and decided to put a second coat on and that is when I discovered the polish was clumpy and thick. I did not expose the polish to heat or light so I'm not sure what exactly happened. I tried to put a second coat on anyway and my nails look terrible. They remain strong and shiny and have grown in the 2 weeks as promised but they just look sloppy overall. Since the color is light it is not really noticeable to others unless they look closely at my nails, but I see it. So I am disappointed in the polish gel polish itself, but happy overall with the nail growth. So this is a mixed review.
I really like this starter kit. It has all you need for several applications including the light, at a very reasonable price. The price is actually less than it would cost me to go to a salon once! It did help my nails look healthy and grow but it didn't last near the two weeks it states, I got five days with no chips then by seven Ihad to re-do them. Also it states you can get better results with the top coat which is not included. It's the starter kit, make the best first impression and include a sample top coat.
The Strong & Beautiful Nail Growth Gel System is compact. It has a plug for a regular outlet and can be easily packed for travel. The light is wide enough for all of toes at the same time and 4 fingers. The thumb needs to be done as a second step not because of the light width, but because of depth. The included color is neutral and I liked it. The light is strong enough to cure the gel polish in one cycle (which it auto-times for you and shuts off). The unit is turned on with a button to start the cycle. The included polish is a one step system. No need for base or finish coats and is quite shiny. I thought two coats was my preferred thickness- but it's a personal preference. No oily residue after curing. My gel lasted about 5 days in my fingers and weeks on my toes. It's hardening season though and I've been very busy with my hands so I believe it lasts longer when I'm easier on my hands. Overall the size, efficiency and portability of the light and one step polish is really good for a home manicure.
Years ago, I took great pride, in my long nails. I didn't have "fake" nails, mine were natural and I fussed over every little chip. Painting my nails was time consuming and tedious. Applying a base coat, several coats of color, then a top coat and allowing them all to dry, in between applications, took HOURS. I no longer have the time, to fuss with that ritual, anymore. I began to just cut my nails down and not bother, with them. They haven't looked pretty, in ages. So, I was very anxious to receive this Dashing Diva Nail Growth Gel System , for review, and see what it might do, for me. When the kit arrived, I was excited to try it. The kit contains the LED light, electrical cord, several cuticle sticks, a buffer sheet and a gel coating. The gel coating is clear, with a very light pink tint. The instructions are easy to read and very simple to follow. File nails, to a nice shape, swipe with remover to get rid of dirt/oil and apply a light thin coat of the gel. Press the button, to turn the light on and place your fingers under the light. It is timed, for the required 60 seconds, and shuts itself off. That's it - nails are done! SO EASY! The coating is hard and shiny - nails look clean and polished. The coating should protect nails against chipping, so should help them grow. I walked around, picking things up and typed on my laptop - the coating stayed perfect. I am impressed. This coating is supposed to last for 14 days, so I will see if that is true. In the meantime, I am extremely happy, with this product. I would recommend it, to anyone, who wants a quick and easy process, to do their nails. Please note - the instructions are to apply a THIN coat and remove any excess, from the skin, with a cuticle stick. Follow those instructions. Do not apply a thick coat! You may think that a thick coat might work better, but it won't. A thick coating and any excess, which is not removed from the skin, will cause the cured gel coating to lift.
Very easy to use .Simple straightforward instructions. Quick drying with UV light. Finish held up for about a week before I noticed some separation at the base of my nail due to growth. It is a hard gel coat that does protect your nail allowing them to grow however I had some damage to my nail upon removal. I've never had gel nails done in a salon but I've heard that this is not uncommon. So while the gel color looks very pretty and lasts a while the end damage is not worth it to me, and that's why I only give it three stars.
I started out with nice strong nice nails and ended up with my nails all breaking and even worse pealing. The system is easy to use with the light and inexpensive compared to some. The Polish is very thick and easy to control. They say coat and then do the light once but I found mine still tacky so did the light twice. The first time I only did one coat and was only a couple days before it started peeling. Tried again with 2 coats and even bought some of Dashing Diva stickers and applied them between coat's. Again did not last long before it started to peel again except this time worse because it was 2 coats and allot thicker. My nails started to break so I removed it all. Only problem is that it dried out the nails so badly that I now have nothing and they are all peeling. Wonder how long it will be for them to recover? They only offer 3 colors which are all so close to each other that it's hard to tell them apart and then they have one red color. Not much of a selection! They also have the stickers which were really easy to apply but again the selection is very limited. The before and after pics show how badly my nails have been damaged. Will not be using this again!
I was very disappointed with the Dashing Diva Strong & Beautiful nail growth gel system. The system it's self is easy enough to understand and to do. Pretty simple process. Clean the nails, prep the nails by removing existing polish. Wash hands and push back cuticles with manicure stick that are included. Use emery board to shape and edge (which is not included). Wipe nails with alcohol to remove any remaining dirt or oil (not included) and make sure they are dry before beginning. Now you are ready to polish and dry with Dashing Diva gel LED light. I really liked the neutral nail color called Petal Pusher, a light pink. Really cute. Simply put an even coat on nail, push light and it goes off automatically in 60 seconds. The instructions say for best results apply Strong and Beautiful Crystal Shine Top coat but it is not included so I did not use..that may be why it only last 1 1/2 days before the polish started chipping and pulling away from nail bed. All polish was gone at day 2. I put two coats on my nails and really liked the color but it is definitely not worth the trouble for durability. Now the top coat may extend the polish but I will not know because I'm not going to waste my time again. I will not recommend Dashing Diva Strong & Beautiful nail growth gel system because the top coat was not included so I do not know if the polish would stay the full 2 weeks like the advert says. Without the top coat i do know it didn't stay as long as regular polish.
