These are just what I need to organize my garage. I assembled all by myself! Love them!
Quick and Easy Assembly, Durable and Attractive. Only issue was what Padlock to use since the hasp space is a bit restrictive. A long padlock works but I'd like to try something else. Over all I'm pleased I bought it and would also like to compliment it with the rest of the components from it's family... Suncast Products are Great and the Wal-Marts Ship to Store was Quick and Easy... I'd like to see Wal-Mart carry more Suncast Products though, I'll keep checking... Great Purchase all Around...
I ordered 2 of these cabinets. They were very easy for me to put them together by myself. they really look great on the patio and now I have plenty of storage and organization for all my outdoor needs. The right hand doors didn't close tightly so I used a fat bolt in the lock holes to keep them tight together and it works fine for me. I love them and I'm very satisfied with the cabinets and the price was right for what I needed them for.
I was originally considering a 10-piece steel garage cabinet system, but I wasn't sure I was ready to lay out $1,500 and then have to pay for curbside shipping, I wasn't clear about how maneuverable a heavy cabinet system would be, and I wasn't certain that all the junk would fit in the 10-piece system. I finally opted for a lower price, lightweight, pair of cabinets as an entry point to see how that would work out. It was a good compromise for me. Setup was pretty fast, and easier than I thought. I was actually able to clean up one side of the garage, hide some bulky items, and throw out some clutter. End result-not sleek, but definitely neater than before. I may spruce up the other side with another cabinet and some matching shelving, or I may just declare victory and move on to another project.
The product is not as sturdy as I had expected it would be. It is all plastic, which is okay, and the walls of the unit are actually rather flimsy/thin. The shelving and the top and bottom pieces are made better than the walls. It was shipped and arrived efficiently. The box was really difficult to get into. In hindsight, I think they made the box very sturdy to avoid damage to the plastic walls of the unit - which are rather flimsy and light. I was able to assemble the unit easily and without assistance, which surprised me being a lightweight female - but that probably speaks to how light the walls of the unit are. I had the unit unboxed and assembled in less than 30 minutes. After assembly the unit does stand sturdy, but the doors and door locks are flimsy and I will pay careful attention to be more gentle with them than I would have expected. Overall, I am delighted with the unit. I bought two and have no regrets. I am sure that they will be used for many years.
I moved to a house with a smaller kitchen. Needed a convenient storage cabinet for those things we don't use everyday. This was perfect. I have put my baking pans, big pots and pans, kitchen gadgets in this and all I have to do is go to the garage, open it and grab what I need that day. Sturdy, locks, movable shelving for sizing storage. Just perfect! Actually maybe a little too large for my needs, afraid husbands tools will migrate in there! (BUT, there is a lock)!
The indented handles make it difficult to install a lock. The locks I found to fit cost me in excess of 15 dollars apiece. They are from U-Haul. Other than that the cabinets went together very easy and should serve the purpose I purchased them for.
This cabinet is great - once you get it together. When my husband and I both worked on it, we finally built it, though the instructive pictures are a bit difficult to figure out. But when I tried to build it without his second pair of hands, the thing kept falling apart before I could get step 3 (the bottom part which holds it together) accomplished. On further pondering, I suspect that I could have built the first step in its side and used a prop to hold up the other side and put the bottom on while it was on its side. OR, I could have duct taped it temporarily to keep it from falling apart when I attempted to lift the sides and back onto the bottom piece. Building furniture/farm equipment is not something we do well together, so we try to do separately, but this one doesn't go well without a second to stabilize the process. Another tip: if you want the top shelf at the top location to make a smaller space, put it in before you put the top on.
Cabinet does not fit together well. Cabinet has tabs that are suppose to lock together, they do not. Holes for tabs are not trimmed clean enough. Cabinet will not stay together when moved even a small distance.
This is made of cheap plastic and they don't package it well enough to prevent pieces from breaking off. So as soon as I got it out of the box I realized a key part of it was broken so I'd have to load it back into the car and bring it back. VERY overpriced for something that there's a good chance will be busted. Don't waste your time.
