We just had our first grandchild Mar. 3, '08. We got this swing to keep at our house so the parents wouldn't have to drag their stuff around, but they didn't have a swing. The baby took to it so well, that we gave that one to them and are going to order another one of the same to keep at our house! I would definitely recommend this swing to any new grandparents or parents!
This swing doesn't have a whole lot of bells and whistles. There are two toys included, and it doesn't play any music. It does however make a loud clicking noise when it swings back and forth and who knows, maybe your baby will like that. The seat can recline and the whole unit folds easily enough. It's pretty light weight so moving it around the house shouldn't be a problem.
I like it okay...the locks on it are a bit cumbersome and it has no music button. For the price I would have expected a music box. The seat however, is great!!! It really cradles your little one and makes for peaceful rest!!!
The picture makes it look cuter then it actually is. I had a girl and I thought I would get something that could be for either boy or girl. This definately for a boy. Its not a very attractive swing. I go through 12 C batteries every two weeks for this thing. I would really shell out the extra money for something that actually plugged into the wall instead of buying a battery operated swing. In all it did it's job and is durable but if your looking for something for you baby girl keep looking. And look for one with an adapter

My step-mom ordered this swing for me and I was so excited to get it. When I got home and set it up, it was really easy to put together. As I was setting it up, I realized it only ran off batteries. That is pretty expensive considering I put four C batteries in it and it lasted for two days!!! Also, it is not very quiet. My son will fall asleep in it if he is really tired. Any other time he is in it, he just cries. The toys on the tray are not interesting and there is no music or anything like that. He loves the swings that he has been it at three of my friend's houses. In my opinion, spend a little extra money and get something with more toys and music. They love it. As of right now, we don't even use the swing anymore. I think I am going to try to take it back and exchange it for a different one.
it is way to small,you will only be able to use it for about three months,where as the other swings that they sell you can use up until they are at least seven months
Thankfully we decided to try out the swing before our son arrived, the swing would not shut off. The only thing that i could do was to take out the batteries. Waste of my time luckily i was able to get another swing before my son was born.
This swing is going back as soon as possible. It is hard to put the babies in the swing and get them out because the tray is in the way then it is hard to snap and unsnap.
I bought this swing for my son and ONE it's to loud. TWO the batteries DO NOT last but maybe an hour of constant swinging and THREE... it's just to small, my son is only 4 weeks old and is almost to big for it. Good Luck!
