I have two of the auto enclosers and love both of them. I can even fit my diesel pick truck in it when I have to. Highly recommended. Even my cat likes it.
This served our temporary needs. Husband wants to protect the cloth corners from rubbing on the metal corners by putting pipe insulation on them. MN winter winds can be brutal. We may purchase another.
Everything you might need is included in the box. Assembly is relatively straight forward. The many pieces are number coded and the diagrams show you what to do. The assembly instructions rely on pictograms and use very few words. It all comes in a sturdy, compact box. My only reservation and the reason for 4 stars is that long spans of tubing are in two pieces when they could be 1 piece. But then the box would be twice as long and shipping cost would probably be greater, I would definitely recommend this product. I would like to see mention of replacement parts mentioned somewhere.
Assembly took longer than expected (about 3 hours). There are times during assembly that you could really use three people. All of the fasteners came in one big bag. There are three different sizes of bolts that needed to be sorted before assembly. Since all three bolts are very close in size it took about 40 minutes (bag tore open during transit and lost a few washers). The cover fabric is pretty thin. I was expecting a heavier weave. Do not attempt to assemble this shelter in windy conditions. If you do, you will need more than three people. I anchored all 8 legs with 1/4" x 3" TAPCON concrete screws and fender washers. Seems pretty stable so far. Winter is just beginning so we'll see how it does with wind and rain. It is worth noting that moisture still accumulates on the inside walls and top. So if you plan to keep a vehicle in it for the winter, I suggest placing an incandescent bulb in the vehicle to dry out the inevitable moisture that will be present.
Once upon a time I had purchased a Autoshelter for our previous home. Unfortunately I lost it in the Campfire in Paradise, California along with our home. I purchased another one for our new home in Paradise to cover a cattery to protect the critters. When assembling the new one I was disappointed. The quality as good as the old one. Many of the poles were poorly drilled and when bolted together they weren't fitted tightly. Many of the holes drilled too close to the end and one of them was right on the end of the pole and "hung" off the pole. Looks more like a "U" on the end of the pole. Not exactly secure. It seems as though the tent actually holds it together. Very disappointing.
I purchased this to cover my large 4 wheeled toy in January 2017 it is now September 2017 and the cover has failed and is ripping at the top across some of the frame points and I am sure that the rest will follow suit... covers are not strong enough to last for the unit.
We bought 2 of these, one for a boat and one for a jeep. 2 of us assembled them in a day. The door opening is too small to drive them in but we got them in there by lifting the structure. These sat for the year and then the tops on both ripped all the way down the center. Very disappointing that they didn't last longer. Wont buy again.
My wife and I bought 2 of these a little less than a year ago. It took us all day to put it together. The directions have you put the structure together to find out you have to take it apart again to put the canopy on. The only reason we bought two is because we loved the one we bought before that was all put together with mostly bungees. Now all the seams are coming apart since their heat welded and the tarps is already tearing on the top. Since it was so hard to put together we did not build the second one and now that we see that the other one is falling a part we have no plans to do so
the material of the cover is cheap and will develop holes and even rip in less than a year, spend your money for a costco auto shelter for better material and price.
I bought the shelter for the winter rains that we get and a light rain at work just fine but with the heavy rain we've had for a few days now it is far from being waterproof my vehicle has got water droplets all over the hood and the roof and each the support frames has water drops on the inside how can it be called waterproof proof at this point I want my money back!!!
