I love this. I had son all day over my deck. My deck is 16x16 and thought this was perfect. But the way the son goes, It didn't shade much. So I bought the 16x16 and that was perfect. I will use the smaller one to shade the side of my shed. They also don't stop the rain, but most of the rain rolls off the shade if you give it the right pitch. So happy with this, glad I didn't get anything more expensive.
Granted this isn't a life-changing purchase, but the sail does exactly what I bought it to do. I have a small apartment patio that faces east, and I am blinded by the sun in the mornings. I have a glider, table, grill and other items that make the patio too crowded for a patio umbrella. With just eyehooks and clips, I can set the shade sail up in less than a minute, enjoy breakfast and read the morning newspaper without the blinding glare, and then fold and store the sail away when the sun shifts to the western sky. The quality of the material is as good as I expected, and again, it performs the job I bought it to do.
I purchased this shade for my deck since I have lost several trees. It was very easy to put up however, I found that because I bought a square I could not attach it to the spots I had. Tried everyway to make it fit as I really liked it. Did have to return it but only because it was the wrong shape for my space. It is a great product, easy to put up,and was reasonable in price.
I bought 3 10x10 wind sails for the price of one or two of the other brands. However, be prepared to buy 8 tarp budgee ties for $8 since they do not come with them. They work great to block the sun. It has been so windy lately, I feared that the bungee cords will not hold so I used two per corner.
Bought a smaller one and it didn't block most of the sun on my deck. So I bought the bigger one and it works perfectly. Love it, I can finally go out during the day in the hot SC sun. Plus most of the rain rolls off.
This King Canopy Sun Shade is well built and really easy to install.
This was a great buy.. I priced other shades for twice the price. I have only had it for about a month. So far it looks great, hopefully it holds up to the hot summer. One site sugstd using 4" galvnzed steel(this is very expensive) and cementing 1/3 length in the ground. I used 2 1"x 10' steel, cemented 2' in the ground next to my block wall. I attached the pole to the block wall for extra support. I attached the other two sides to the house. It looks awesome, but next time i would go with a lighter color. I had to retighten the cable wire for shade several times after initial install to keep it tight and prevent sagging.
The only reason I gave this product four stars is that it did not have any way to secure the canopy. I had to purchase cording separately. There was no advisement of this need when I order the product.
I am not crazy about the color since it has some orange in it but overall it turned out to be just what I needed. It seems very strong and came with good hardware. I put it up very tight so that it would not sag and I have only had to snug it up slightly since which is easy with the hardware provided. It has made a large part of my deck useable during the hot part of the day, very nice.
We live in a windy area and have bought expensive shades only to have the wind pick them up and destroy them. We bought this hoping the air would go through it and still provide shade. It works well.
