Purchased two 16x16x16 blue sails to go over our swimming pool! What a break from the hot Kansas sun! It felt 15 degrees cooler under the sails while in the pool and also offered sun protection to all the kids swimming in the pool. They were easy to install, once you get the anchor points picked out. I used my deck, a neighbors tree, and my back fence as anchor points and separated the two sails about three feet, making a long run on one side. It took lots of cable clamps and hardware, but worth the price for what they provide in the way of appearance and shade. I had many comments on the sails and everyone wanted to know where i bought them, SAMSCLUB, of course!
I bought two of these shades early in the season to provide partial shade to some newly planted tropicals. I now have banana plants over 7 feet tall in just 3 months!! They would have withered and burned in the desert heat were it not for the sails. They went up easily the first attempt and with all the included hardware for attaching, I didn't need to venture near a hardware store. This was the second sail purchase to fill in some gaps where the sun came through - it would always be nice if they were bigger, but they are the stated size.
This is a very nice shade to provide privacy in a little niche in my yard. I love the coziness and the privacy it provides. Nice quality, too!
Timely received the dark blue canopy. At the same time I ordered at walmart.com I also ordered a canopy at o.com. Walmart was less expensive, but did not come with any hardware. Out of the box the quality of the other .com store was superier and came w/all the hardware needed plus more. We have only put up the walmart canapy. In NM we get some strong winds along with hot dry conditions. This canopy has held up. I keep expecting it to fly to the neighbors. For the price it is a deal.
Originally I was expecting this to be a little thicker weave of fabric. Right out of the package we didn't like the product--it didn't look yellow like the picture and it looked rather cheap. But we decided to install it and were impressed! Loved it when it was up and has held up to some windy conditions here lately! For the price, it rocks!
I had sun coming in the door and window from the east in the morning, heating up that side of the house, and this solved that problem. This works well since it is in a corner. I would recommend it. It doesn't keep out rain, but it does provide shade.
I purchased this to go over the dog's patio to give him some shade. It is serving it's purpose well. The material is not what I expected but I believe this will hold up much better than a canvas canopy.
The lack of color choice is a disappointment. I received a yellow one, which luckily matches the two I had already purchased. In a couple of months when the sun has faded this new one, it will be more white than yellow and match the older ones just fine. Since these are not expensive items, and they seem to hold up well in the searing Arizona sun, I'm OK with this item.
I bought this thinking I could put it up in the corner of my pool area for some additional shade. It turned out to be too small for what I wanted and the fact that it is 10x10x10 made it an odd angle for a corner. The actual dimentions were about 9'-8", not 10'. It was a good price and decent quality but didn't meet my needs. I ordered it online and picked it up at a store and I was able to return it to the store without any problem.
The sail itself works great. It allows the wind to pass, but blocks the sun. Only reason I would ask you to think twice is because of the color. They only offer this in a bright, bright yellow and it in no way matches the color shown on the advertisement. Don't expect it to look like the picture. Unless you want bright yellow (and I do mean bright) don't order this, it is not the same color shown.
