This karaoke player totally meets my expectations! My son is 5 and he can work it completely by himself, loves the lights and it is small enough for him to carry around if he wants to. His big brothers love it too and I am glad we bought a 2nd microphone for them to use. It has great sound and the microphone sound is louder/better than the one we had in the past.
Researched many karaoke machines. Think about who/why you are buying the machine for. For us it was 7 year old girl - we wanted to keep it simple - take that into consideration while reading this review. Easy connection, plug into power source or load with batteries, plug into tv and plug microphone into machine. Load provided cd(s) and sing. Features balance control (set music low and microphone (voice) high), has a feature called echo - that allows for fun in making the persons voice have an echo effect. Our 7 year old knows some of the words to many songs, and can read well, so following the lyrics was easy. We puchased an additional party cd that was child appropriate and she loved it, but the cd's that were provided are great as well. Lyrics are NOT shown on a screen on the machine. Connect to a tv to see lyrics. The only issue of concern was the microphone, in order to really hear her voice, she needed to sing with her mouth very close to the microphone and sing out, not softly. This was not much of an issue, as once she started to really hear herself, she would happily sing loud and proud! (you can purchase a better microphone if you feel the need) The machine is lightweight and easy to carry & will play any music cd. Lights are a bonus addition.
We tried two other karaoke brands before finding this one that works and are happy with. It is very light weight and works good!
I bought this product as a Christmas gift for my family. It hooks right up to a TV to see the words to the songs. Microphone works good. No complaints. Great buy!
I bought this karaoke machine for my 10 year old for Christmas . I was a little nervous because of the mixed reviews, but this machine had the best reviews overall which is why I chose this one. I have to say it exceeded my expectations! The machine works great. Very easy to use- easy hook up, and extremely light weight. No issues with the mic volume as I've read in some of the reviews. The disco lights are a huge hit as well. My daughter absolutely loves it- great purchase!!
Added a wireless microphone for a small group presentation. Adds enough volume to be heard without having to raise voice.
After reading the reviews I was kind of skeptical about getting it, but I said what the heck. Got I for my 8y/o daughter for Xmas. .It worked fine , great sound, cds played & mic worked but the cord had a shortage I guess from the way it was wrapped so I had to exchange it with no problem.
My 6 year old grandson simply loved this Karaoke Player. It's very easy to operate and has good features for a player of this size. The RCA cable could have been a bit longer, but overall I recommend it.
I cannot give a fair review of this product because I bought it for a Christmas Angel child and I will not know if it meets their expectations. I do feel that these items of similar kind are a bit over priced. But, Walmart had the best deal after searching many sites including Toy R Us, Best Buy, Amazon, KMart and many others.
Good thing I checked this out before giving it to my grandson for Christmas. The power cord which plugged into the back of the machine was soo loose that the machine would not get power, as reported in a couple of other reviews I saw. Would have been fun and cute with the lights, but didn't want to take a chance on another, so unfortunately returned it. I was forced to give a rating, so gave one star, which may be unfair. Had the machine worked, I may have given it more stars.
