I'm quite pleased with this ring. $115 is WAY better than paying $300-$400 for the same basic thing through Josten's. I love the detail of the ring and also the stone cut(it sparkles in the light). I hope Walmart comes out with a college ring as well. I'd definitely buy it from them.
Like many other reviews before mine, you've seen that buying rings from your school's vendor isn't exactly worth $200+. If you're looking for a fantastic ring that doesn't tarnish, is durable, and beautifully cut, look no further. I originally lost my 1st class ring I ordered from Walmart a few years ago. This year I ordered another, and I have to say, they've made the order form nice and easy, customizations, stones, ring bands, it's all there for you to see before it's shipped. If you're looking for something that holds up to wear and tear, choose the Valadium band, it's fantastic!
We've had some financial set-backs this year and I was worried that we wouldn't be able to purchase a class ring for our daughter. The company that the schools use is way too expensive. I started looking online for alternatives and remembered that my family had ordered my class ring from Walmart in the 90s. I was pleased to see that they still offered them and had a huge selection! My daughter quickly "designed" the ring she wanted and the total price was only $103 - with her name, her activities, her birthstone, school mascot, inscription, and the classic design that she wanted. It looks just like the $$$$ one the school was offering. The quality is excellent and it's a beautiful ring! Walmart created and sent the ring to us way ahead of schedule too! It was suppose to arrive the 2nd or 3rd week in september, but it arrived today 8/29 --- so she got it before she goes back to school on the 3rd next week. Thank you so much walmart!!! (sorry my phone pics aren't the best)
This ring was absolutely beautiful! My daughter felt left out of the process because the school's ring dealer only offered rings starting at a size 6 (she's a 5). Not only do they offer expanded sizes, but the detailing was perfect on the smaller ring. This is also a fabulous option for those that refuse to pay the exorbitant prices of larger ring dealers. What a fantastic way to pass on this tradition.
I love my ring! It is the perfect size as far as how big the stone and band width are and it fits me perfectly! I love the fact I could customize it..however I am disappointed that the school name around the stone is very very small. The stone is a gorgeous blue color, and even though I had ordered the sapphire and expected a darker blue like my boyfriends class ring, I was surprised to see a bright beautiful blue...and even though it was not what I ordered I am very happy with it! However the only negative thing is that the black ink behind the year,name and mascots is not very dark and already has silver spots and I've only worn it once! I guess now the test is to see how long the shine lasts and how long the colors and ink stay on the ring!
Its a good size ring and stone. My order for it totaled at about $117 so I think it was much cheaper than going to balfour and getting something just like it for twice as much. I got my birth stone (ruby) which looks like a hot pink color in the sunlight. The stone looks good with the band size it is. Ordering online seemed risky but everthing turned out just fine and the ring was personalized the way I wanted it so Im pretty happy.Im just worried about the black finish fading
The delivery was fast and I love the engraving, but the picture doesn't look like the actually ring. The picture shows the top flat, but at the actually ring the stone popped out like a diamond ring.

Great price, but the school colors (the colored enamel on either side) fell out within the first year of purchase. The antique finish wore off within a few months of purchase.
Ring was ordered with Religious emblem on one side. Ring was created with Culinary emblem instead. We must now wait another 3-4 weeks to have the ring re-made.
